For what it's worth, I've done a lot of pre-orders on Amazon, and everything has always gotten the lowest price by the time it charges & ships. I think the system notes the lowest price, then applies it in the end, even if it doesn't always show it while the variations are happening.

On a slightly ironic note, I pre-ordered the Halloween set from another site, because they were cheaper than Amazon, but now Amazon has just about matched what I paid. I shoulda known that'd happen.

Is the Dr. and the Devils worth a blind buy? The low price has me intrigued.

I heard rumors that Shout! is planning on releasing Escape from NY. Could that mean we're gonna see Big Trouble or In the Mouth in the near future? Maybe even The Thing?

Also, why did Scream release They Live? It's barely a horror film.

Technically it's Scream Factory doing EFNY, and I would be tickled pink if they did Big Trouble & The Thing.

Not a rumor.
No to In the Mouth of Madness. The others are up in the air.
They Live is "barely a horror film", but "barely horror" means it is still horror. It makes the cut.

Really? I don't get that either EFNY and TL aren't horror films. Especially when put on the same brand as Prince of Darkness and Halloween 2.

Their site says Horror and Sci-Fi films last I checked. Also makes sense for them to expand into the general genre film category, since obviously they're making money and are being well received.

Ok Scream I ordered The People Under the Stairs from Arrow so don't go and announce that you're releasing it (highly unlikely since Universal just released it themselves but it's possible).

And by my count, the only 2014 titles still awaiting final spec announcements are Tales from the Crypt/The Vault of Horror and Lord of Illusions. Then it's 2015 time.

Any word on whether Scream is doing an October sale similar to last year's? (Sorry if this has already been covered--I scanned the last few pages and didn't see it mentioned).

Guys, let's keep the Halloween/TCM store talk to the Halloween threads (preferably the one in Hot Deals). Thanks.

Don't know much about the movie but seems interesting and I thought that was an awesome deal.
I'm a little ticked off, as I pre-ordered Doctor & Devils for $19.99 + $5 SH, on Scream Factory's website. Now I can get it for $8.99, free shipping (per prime) off Amazon. But will Scream Factory cancel the order, or match the price?

I thought once you pre-order from them, that's pretty much it.

I hope we get a Phantasm boxset collection in time for the new movie.

New mystery titles are up. Was able to use the $10 off to preorder Lord of Illusions and the Tales from the Crypt double feature.

Don't want to spoil them but one can be found on Roger Corman's page and the other can be found on the Shout! Selects page. Happy hunting.

Coscarelli is apparently willing to discuss distribution.

Watching The Cinema Snob, Reviewing "The Stepfather" very good, except he is wrong about the killer's motive, also The Cinema Snob should review more scream factory titles, since he has reviewed quite a bit.

He has done The Stepfather, like you said, but also, Halloween and Sleepaway Camp. The 80s Dan episode on Halloween 3 is great too.

Would Scream Factory ever be able to have access to The Hitcher (1986)?
