I like all of the Howling films including the latest Howling: Reborn but, that New Moon Rising is pure garbage. It makes all the others seem like blockbusters.

The people shitting on the Howling II announcement probably are the ones that wanted Cruel Jaws.

Um, I don't. A terrible movie is a terrible movie. No bias is involved.

I (for one) am a fan of The Howling 2. I first saw it late at night after Elvira, and it hit me hard. The cheesiness is so... so... pungent.

Is it a good film? Hell no, but I like it for what it is. And I look forward to owning it.

I SINCERELY hope so. If they ever do work with Universal again, that is.

That sums up almost every Scream release for me.

It's all or nothing There's barely a market for Part II but they're releasing it anyway. III is beyond awful. What I'm saying is if you're going to gamble, go all in A box set of all the films, regardless of script quality, feels a whole lot "saner" than one or 2 films here and there or a random collection of 3 squeezed onto a single budget disc. The movies suck, no doubt about it, but they do have their fans - give the fans something worth getting excited about.

After seeing the Howling II announcement, Psycho IV should be a definite possibility when/if they get a new deal with Universal.

1985's HOWLING II will be coming out later on in the Summer of this year. We were not prepared to announce the title at this time but the cat (or, in this case, wolf) was let out of the bag from another source.
More like "the bag was left untied in an empty room for 5 days until the cat finally crawled out of it"

Hear, hear. A junk is a junk. Cruel Jaws looks equally bad.

I really hope Scream is working on some deals with other companies, 2015 so far isn't that great...Escape From New York, Ghoulies 1&2, and Class Of 84 are it for me so far...maybe Howling 2 but that will be a blind buy that ill have to think about...I know everyones different and theres something for everyone but compared to last year 2015 kinda sucks...

Theyre going to have to make deals with other companies and people since 3 other studios have deals with MGM. Im actually looking forward more to Kino announcements at this point. They announced Premature Burial yesterday and potentially they might have even more classics from that era on top of what Scream has.

exactly...i mean Scream must know theyre scraping the bottom of the barrel and that the reaction to the majority of announcements has been lackluster, they know their stuff. The competition is HUGE this year...hopefully Scream can redeem themselves...

If they're scraping MGM's barrel, there's still the very under-rated Alien Predators/ The Falling, which already has a nice, HD/widescreen transfer. But, yeah, I'm sure Howling 2 will please some folks, so good on it. To be honest, if Scream has run through all the "big" titles, that's fine with me. I'll be happy to get more "never even released on DVD" yet films rather than "already been released 50 bajillion times" titles because they're more popular.

I'm right there with you. I can't wait for more announcements because I'm not interested in most of the releases this year.

They really need to get another deal with Universal.

Yes. I'd love to see GHOST STORY, LEGACY and THE SENTINEL from Shout. Demon Knight would be cool.

And make a strong run at Lionsgate and WB. I can't believe these studios would just sit on titles that would make them easy money by licensing them.
