I suppose we can also expect Prom Night II, another title he swore up and down they had no interest in releasing. At least I'd buy that one, but they must be really running low on films if Howling II is getting a Blu.

Prom Night II is a lot of fun, and I'd pay money to see it on Blu-ray - unlike most of the titles SF has announced for 2015.

Prom Night II would probably need to be licensed from Alliance Atlantis or sub-licensed from Echo Bridge. MGM no longer has physical media rights to the film.

I doesn't make much sense to me either. You would think they would try to get profit wherever they can.

There are so many films from Universal I would love to see them release. The Sentinel and Psycho IV being the top two. Also I would love them to get Misery from MGM/Fox. The blu-ray was nice but none of the special features were ported over from the DVD. Plus would love to see this as the cover art.

[Show spoiler]

I dunno Legacy, but those other two sure creeped me out as a kid. That one gore scene with the spirit of the dad in The Sentinel REALLY disturbed me for weeks, haha. They seem more like Kino movies at this point, though.

If they worked with Universal again, Psycho IV (w/ Bates Motel as a wonderful SD extra), The Sentinel and Ghost Story are my top wants.

Slumber Party Massacre 2 and Slumber Party Massacre 3 are two that Shout already has and needs to upgrade while they still can. I'd love to have the complete trilogy in HD. Cannibal Girls wouldn't suck either.

Exactly. Synapse has said that if Prom Night does well they might look into the sequels -no telling how far down the line that would even be (if they ever did get picked up by them) at this rate.

Well Scream had the opportunity to license them, they did not - for whatever the reason maybe, be it the licensor demands , or Scream not interested - and we can now look for Kino to release more titles from this era. Im looking forward to it. I know Ill be buying many from both Kino and Scream this year. Kino would use the same MGM masters Scream would, and possibly the same amount extras. The older the film, the more difficult it can be to have extras but look with Kino did with Quatermass and Planet of the Vampires

really, the ones I'd like to see from SF right now would be

Psycho IV
Poltergeist II/III combo pack

Not really into much of anything they've announced for this year. These two would at least help me complete some collections. I know Poltergeist II has been out already, but I want a complete collection of the sequels and some bonus content that franchise has never gotten.

Prom Night 2 and 3 would be sweet! great camp value

I'd also really like to know why Bubba Ho-Tep hasn't been announced yet...unless someone else or MGM themselves are releasing it, it boggles my mind why Scream havent released/announced it yet.

I hope we'll get at least one more volume of the Vincent Price Collection somewhere down the road.

It'd be nice if SF could make a deal with Universal. I'd love to see them put out:

Sssssss
The Sentinel
The People Under the Stairs
The Legacy

...and others that I'm currently forgetting.

The great news is that at least other companies are putting out releases that Scream Factory either passed on or could not get. I really dig Scream Factory, but this year is looking pretty uninteresting from them. But for the genre it is off to a good start. So far I'll be getting:

Don't Look Now and what will likely by The Brood by Criterion
Tales of Terror, The Premature Burial, and what I've just found out, Man with the X-Ray Eyes by Kino.. wow!
Empire of the Ants by Scream Factory

I haven't seen The Legacy or Sssssss but I agree with the rest of your choices. It would be nice if they also got the rights to Burnt Offerings and the original Critters.

Scream Factory definately has big competition this year...Kino,Vinegar Syndrome,Retromedia,Etiquette to name a few all have good stuff coming not to mention Arrow USA...its going to be a great year for catologue titles and it will be interesting to see what Scream manages to come back with, like ive said with the exception of 3 or 4 Scream titles my money is going elsewhere... personally I think Kino is going to own 2015.

In many ways the success of Scream Factory is more than likely why we are seeing all these cool tittles coming from the competition, which is great.

Man, you guys are really quick to turn on Scream in 2015 and it's only the first week of January. Be patient people, they dumped a lot of middling announcements at the end of last year but that doesn't mean greater stuff isn't coming.

Actually, I'm getting back on the bandwagon. Been bugging them for Howling II since they started, so I'm stoked.

Also, I haven't noticed any compression in their stuff for a while...at least since Motel Hell. Hoping this means the worst is behind us.

I for one am not turning on Scream, just presenting the facts as they are, Scream is one of my favorite companies, i'm really hoping they come thru and i'm sure there will be more announcements made that will be great BUT it is only the First work of January and Scream has announced around 30 titles I think and only a handful compare to what other companies have announced so far for 2015...quantity is not quality.

Speak for yourself, I'm elated with what's on tap for Q1/Q2 of 2015.
