I don't know specific titles aka who has what (even if I did know that I would be sworn to secrecy) , but when you see studios start to release MGM owned films, you know its not just for a few movies. It appears to me that MGM wants to unload and every studio is getting as many titles as they can afford - there seems to be a pattern about getting a mass quantity of catalog titles. Its all very interesting to me. And makes for a fun topic as opposed to slipcovers and *hey I ordered my movie two weeks ago and I didn't get it* I think this is good business and the competition will only make the studios work harder at giving us an A+ product.

Also, you can read Twilight Times Facebook page and there are pretty open usually about titles in their library now, they have actually confirmed some movies on post inquires to them on their page which I think is cool, theyre the only studio doing that

I think you may have hit the nail on the head, here. I'm sure not all movies are equal in terms of licensing fees, even in a package deal, and I wouldn't be surprised if a couple of titles in particular took a significant chunk out of that budget.

Some movies do not have HD masters and the cost to remaster them also can and probably did play into some decisions. Its all an investment, all they are hoping for is a good return on what they spend. Kino seems to be in a position to invest in creating HD masters as far as I know. Thats why you cant announce a movie too early - everything has to be 100% green light on every aspect of a deal, signing it, making certain the elements are in good shape, waiting for the studio or owner to green light. If you announce something too early something might go amiss be it Hellhole, A Lizard in Woman's Skin or Black Sabbath..

Most (everything?) they've announced so far from the MGM catalog has appeared on MGMHD, so I don't think they are creating their own masters.

They havent announced everything yet ! No studio would be crazy enough to announce a title that they are still working on and not 100% sure an HD master can be made. That would lead to a lot of complaints and disappointed fans.

Im not up to speed on all the genres such as their comedies such as *Life Stinks* but if anything is coming out on the first time that was VHS only (or Beta) then those are getting new HD masters.

Isn't Little Monsters an MGM film? I'd happily buy that if Scream continues to mine the MGM catalog. I consider it a far better film than most of the other Horror-Comedies they have coming Spring.

I don't really care who releases what, I'm just glad MGM's catalog is finally getting put out.

I only see the same one listing as Amazon, the one I pre-ordered weeks ago. It looks like it's been updated to say Special Edition with deluxe packaging.

Yeah, Amazon will probably only sell the limited version at first (until it runs out), and then just the regular version.

Just watched The Rift (Endless Descent) and it would be great if someone put it out. Its full of hilarious music cues, competing hairdos and actors who must have thought they we're making The Hunt for Red October. Its not as good imo as Deepstar Six or leviathan but i got a kick out of it. Its on youtube if anyone wants a watch http://youtu.be/tb0X_9RvUVc

I wonder if Mad Max is still set for May? Was thinking it would make sense to do it then since that's when Fury Road comes out.

I finally finished swapping out my entire Scream Factory collection into clear cases. I would've preferred Viva Elite, but the Vortex cases aren't too shabby. I only grabbed a few to take a photo of, but if anyone would like me to snap a photo of any of the titles in my collection, let me know.
