Millenium was talking about releasing more Hammers, but LUST was never on their radar. They put out 2 BD titles ( DRACULA POD & FRANKENSTEIN CREATED WOMAN ) & promptly went belly up...no more from them. They also got 7 GOLDEN VAMPIRES out on a DVD 3 - fer but it runs at PAL speed with obvious ill effects resulting. Both of their BD's were inferior to their UK releases ta-boot, so not terribly sorry to see them go. They were incapable of doing a straight port over.
Studio Canal has LUST from what I can tell, but it probably has not been remastered yet. Hopefully someday along with the rest of that batch from AB's second wave of DVD titles ( HORROR OF FRANKENSTEIN, SCARS OF DRACULA, BLOOD FROM THE MUMMY'S TOMB, DEMONS OF THE MIND ect ).

Just watched Sleepaway Camps 2 and 3, gotta say I was pleasantly surprised. 2 was fantastic IMO and I'll definitely be picking it up. 3 wasn't quite as good but I'll probably talk myself into getting it at some point.

Studio Canal does indeed control all those titles.

And apparently, they have no interest in releasing them stateside. Studiocanal's whole first wave of Hammer movies sure doesn't seem to be slated for release here in the foreseeable future. I would re-buy the crap out of Plague of the Zombies/Devil Rides Out/The Reptile/Quatermass and the Pit if they released the same discs with the same features in A just so I could watch the 1080i/50hz extra features without playing them through my computer :P Great, great movies; just apparently there's no interest in the states. Out of the rest of those movies in the Ultimate Hammer Collection I would certainly go for blurays of Blood from the Mummy's Tomb and Demons of the Mind (and One Million Years BC of course, but that seems to be elsewhere in the states). Unfortunately we'd probably just get the worst ones from the set cause they have the biggest names (Scars of Dracula, Horror of Frankenstein). Well, I guess Prehistoric Women and Vengeance of She might be slightly worse

there sure as hell is from me.... but you're right... the majority of the buying public doesn't give a rip about Hammer flicks....

I think The Vampire Lovers was one of Scream's worst sellers....

I picked up Psycho II and Psycho III for $29.97 shipped.

It looks like the Sale may have gone up early as well as this is listed on the page.

Quote:
Offers valid from 3/2/15 - 3/9/15 10am PT
So if you're interested in any of the titles, it may be wise to jump on them. I also take this to mean there may not be a March Madness sale this year, though that remains to be seen.

I can't wait to hear what other movies they're going to release throughout the year. Out of the movies they have announced I'm only getting The Babadook, Mad Max, Escape From New York and Dog Soldiers so long as it has a good transfer.

Right now i've got EFNY and Class of 84 pre ordered (along with Eddie and The Cruisers 1/2) ill eventually get Ghoulies and Mad max once they go on sale...i'm definately hoping for some other killer releases, unfortunately for me Scream hasn't announced too much that i'm interested in this year, but i'm definately happy for everyone that is getting stuff they like

Waiting for the March Madness sale. When it hits I'm definitely getting Sleepaway 1+2, Class of 84, Dog Soldiers, and Phantom of the Opera. Could also easily see myself getting Candyman 2, Sleepaway 3, and Town that Dreaded Sundown

If it's like previous years they won't put everything on sale, and will instead offer a small selection of titles each day/week. There's also no guarentee that a sale will occur this year. Also, Sleepaway Camp 2 & 3 don't come out until June. Well after the March Madness sale is over. On top of that, I doubt those 2 titles will be on sale for Halloween either as I imagine they'll sell just fine without any sales.

Quite possibly, but we'll have to wait and see until June when it's released as that's another title that won't be on sale for the March Madness sale (if there is one.)

I thought scream couldn't get a hold of the source so they'll likely just port over the current release. It's the worst PQ of any blu-ray that I have seen.

It could look better if Shout spends time doing some restoration work but it costs a lot to do, which is why labels wait until the studio they sublicense from (such as MGM) restore it themselves.
Kino has made some HD masters from MGM titles so maybe their budget is bigger..

Scream have done their own masters a few times. Escape From New York will be a new 2k scan.

We regret to inform you that we are moving the release date for DOG SOLDIERS again…but hopefully for good reason. The new official street date is now 6/23/15.

The film’s Director, Neil Marshall, has recently found potentially better film elements for us to work with so that we can create a new HD transfer. In order for us to do this, we need more time and which is why a delay was prompted.

We really debated postponing this underrated gem again but we know that many of you have requested a new transfer (better than the previous Blu-ray release) and we want to exhaust every avenue to bring one to you. Once we look at the elements, we’ll keep you posted on the status of it. We hope you understand our position on this and we appreciate your patience.

Yes for certain titles, but not all /not that many. Escape from NY is because they expect that to be a huge seller and made the investment . Dog Soldiers as Zbinks pointed out - will be remastered as well

The only potential worry for me with regards to that Scream quote are the two 'wait and see' qualifiers, which as far as I am aware have not been updated/addressed since the original post in January:

Quote:

You'd think that if the elements did turn out to be superior, and were in fact being used for the disc, they would have made some sort of statement to that effect on Facebook. Obviously there are still almost four months before release, so they may very will still be working on the transfer, but it is something to keep an eye on.
