Well, I'm glad you've discovered them but I'm a bit surprised that this is a recent revelation.

Scream products have ALWAYS been distributed here...and parent company SHOUT discs have been here since the days of DVD. Most of their stuff is carried by HMV at the brick& mortar level. And Scream stuff on amazon.ca is often cheaper than it is in the U.S.

*Unless you mean you just discovered that you can buy directly from Scream?

Everything goes OOP eventually, but he was speaking of Halloween's box set. Scream said that was a limited time product of some sort, though they gave no strict dates.

However certain titles are only available for distribution in the US and have to be imported to Canada (through Amazon should one so choose). The Scanners II/Scanners III double feature, Ginger Snaps, and now Dog Soldiers are the only ones though.

What is your avatar a picture of? It looks Giger-ish and kinda like a xenomorph.

It's from Disney Captain EO Anjelica Huston when I saw it in an old Starlog Magazine after I first saw that avatar.

Because maybe they declined - sometimes getting special features is easier said then done. Be happy that at least Scream did something, after all, if Olive Films released it, there wouldnt be any extras..

But there was soo many cast members in the second movie, and they only could get one?? There had to be at least one or two more who could've interviewed...

I can't wait for I Man and Dog Soldiers.

Who else wants Wild Beasts (1984) on BD? this never had a DVD or BD release, i hadn't seen it in a long time since i was a kid as i recalled it was about PCP contaminated a city zoo's water and the animals go ape sheet in the city.

Not necessarily. All of the labels could reach out to the cast members and at times SF , or Kino will post "such and such declined" Its just the way it is - some of them want nothing to do with the movie, others want too much money for their time. Thats how it goes.

Scarecrows is the second-best scarecrow horror flick after Dark Night of the Scarecrow from 1981. Both are unique but both are also very effective (and, yup, creepy). The '88 film starts out as an oddball action flick and turns into an even more oddball horror movie but it all works IMO. Entertainment value is very high

I love Scarecrows. It's a fun little movie, with some genuinely creepy atmosphere. I agree with your assessment as it being the second best scarecrow horror flick, after Dark Night of the Scarecrow. I'm very glad to finally have this on Blu Ray.

I love Scarecrows but am afraid to check out Dark Night... as I love blood in my horror and heard it's a tv movie. Is it worth it?

If you're one of those people who prefer blood and gore over atmosphere you won't find much to like. The film was made for TV but it doesn't feel like one IMO. Give it a rental at least.

Whilst I enjoy Dark Night of the Scarecrow, I actually prefer Night of the Scarecrow where scarecrow horror is concerned.
