Scream Factory: Sept ended up being light for us in that department with several films having to move out of the month unexpectedly for various reasons. We assure you though that our Oct-Dec line-up will make up for it!
I wanted to inquire about Jack's Back so I asked them on Twitter:

Sorry no, we're having some trouble with the elements and had to move it. No new month to report at this time.
Lack of retro titles is fine since I save money but it sucks since I have a couple coupons from the March Madness sale that I have to use by the end of June.

I have two coupons that end this month. I'm thinking about buying the first Vicent Price set and some CE's.

Really? I was really looking forward to this film. John McNaughton gave me nightmares with Henry and so did Michael Shannon with Bug.
I was expecting at least a decent horror flick.

I wouldn't even call it a horror flick. It's more of a mid-nineties USA Original Movie. Michael Shannon is so sedate in it that he's practically dead.

I've never heard of Backcountry. Looks interesting! I might have to blind buy that.
Plus that cover art

The Editor looks really interesting to me. Love 70's/80's horror homages. Will have to read more about that one closer to release.

I did, too, but you knew what you were getting into with them and many had cheesy charm. The Harvest has none.

I wish they'd release a lot of them on something other than VHS. Faye Dunaway in Silhouette & Diane Ladd in Hush Little Baby were two of my favorites. Nightmare on the 13th Floor is another great one, helluva cast.

Definitely, but I'm grateful that Paramount / Universal ended up putting most of them on VHS. I still have 18 of them, and they have their own little section in my VHS collection.

The Companion, Trilogy Of Terror II, Strays, Buried Alive, Child Of Darkness Child Of Light, Duplicates, and Deadly Game are my favorites of the ones I own, but there are tons of others I'd love to add to my collection.

I'd love to see some of these movies make it to blu-ray, or even DVD. I think Scream Factory ruled out TV movies, but being that Universal owns about half of them, there's a possibility they could snag a few.

As for The Harvest, I'll see if it pops up on NetFlix like a lot of IFC titles.

I remember Nightmare on the 13th Floor now that you mention it. Do you know if that one ever got a DVD release of any kind?

I hear ya. The Haunting of Sarah Hardy is a personal favorite of mine. Paramount released on VHS and LD back in the 90's but that was it.
You think Paramount/Universal still owns these USA films?

That is an amazing collection. I have a few of them and a few others (The Stepsister, Dead Husbands, In the Company of Darkness, The Perfect Bride), but my VCR is in a box somewhere, haha.

Child of Darkness, Child of Light is a goodie; Sela Ward is a hoot in it. There was another good one called A Taste for Killing with Jason Bateman, Michael Biehn & Henry Thomas and it actually got a DVD release in the UK a couple years back. I was hoping it would lead to more of those USA flicks, but alas...

It didn't. A lot of these flicks are on Youtube, though, and the upload of that one is better quality than my video.

Another good one! And The Haunting of Seacliff Inn with Ally Sheedy.

I'm sure they do, but they likely don't see there being any demand for them to be released. It's just surprising that they didn't license them out to a Mill Creek or similar budget company.

Haunting Of Sarah Hardy is definitely one of the better ones.
[Show spoiler]A slasher film in the guise of a ghost movie.
Plus, it also stars Sela Ward.

Not sure if Paramount / Universal still owns them, but I'm assuming Universal at least still owns some of theirs. They released The Android Affair in a multi-movie set a few years back.

But yeah, not very many (excluding the early '00 ones like Cabin By The Lake and Wolf Girl) have made it to DVD in the US. A few have been released by budget labels like Hush Little Baby, Drop Dead Gorgeous (as Victim Of Beauty), and Free Fall. Sony released Past Midnight on DVD. LionsGate released Trucks. And in addition to A Taste For Killing, a few others did make it to DVD in the UK, such as Curiosity Kills and Buried Alive.

Surprisingly, I caught the MIA Class Warfare on Lifetime Movie Network about a week ago. They also occasionally air The Stalking Of Laurie Show under an alternate title Rivals.

According to Scream Factorys FB page, they have some older titles lined up for October - December to make up for not having that many this summer through September
I am not giving up on the Vincent Price III set ! If it happens it will be the last one

October to December is pretty useless to many of us who prefer to have their films before Halloween.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Twilight Time do this one. Especially since the associate producer (and script doctor) was none other than Quentin Tarantino.

And it has Paul Giamatti in an early supporting role.

I wouldn't give up on this one just because someone didn't like it. This picked up several good reviews from reputable sources and the fact that the film is headlined by Samantha Morton just about guarantees that it's better than the vast majority of most modern day Scream Factory releases.
