I wonder with the recent release of "The Bear", which from my understanding was with Sony, if we can expect some from titles from Sony.

Below are the only titles that I can think of that I want.

Psycho IV
Death Becomes Her
Village of the Damned (Remake)
Cherry Falls
Firestarter
Cry_Wolf
Carrie (Although I really hope Criterion got it.)

Also somebody said that the Warner/Paramount deal expires next year. I wonder how open Paramount would be to sub licensing to Shout/Scream?

Guesses (not limiting myself to 10, but rather to possible outcomes):

Universal:
-The Brides of Dracula
-The 'burbs
-The Car
-The Curse of the Werewolf
-Death Becomes Her
-The Evil of Frankenstein
-Ghost Story
-Matinee
-The Phantom of the Opera
-Slither
-Sssssss
-Village of the Damned

MGM:
-After Midnight
-Lady in White
-Species II

Fox:
-The Fly II
-Frankenstein Unbound
-The Good Son

Indie:
-Bad Taste
-Bubba Ho-Tep
-Dead Alive
-Phantasm 1, 3-5

IFC:
-The Human Centipdede III

In terms of likeliest and most diverse, I'd say the turnout could be:
-The 'burbs
-Dead Alive
-Death Becomes Her
-Ghost Story
-The Human Centipede III
-Lady in White
-Matinee
-Slither
-Sssssss
-Village of the Damned

Don't say enough of The 'burbs, as they said that very day that they did not have Demon Knight. They can attempt to make us believe falsities. Also, they did mention several "HIGH PROFILE HORROR COMEDIES." The WingNut catalog satisfies this ideal, as do Slither (directed by the same man as the highest grossing film of last year) and Death Becomes Her (Meryl Streep and Bruce Willis).

It's really strange they wouldn't go after them. I doubt Universal has any plans for them, and with Vampire Lovers being a big success for Scream, it seems like a no brainer. If their Facebook page is any indication there's a big fan base for them as well!

I guess I am not surprised, they probably cost a bunch in terms of rights compared to crap like Ghosthouse, and from what I've heard Hammer titles tend to be awful sellers (Dracula Prince of Darkness bombed hard, apparently, and that's one of the biggest titles in the entire catalog).

I'm not positive, but I don't think they licensed that from Sony. Sony used to have US distribution rights to the film, but I think those rights have since reverted back to the French production company.

I bet the Arrow UK disc is still better than anything Universal or Scream release in the US for The 'Burbs anyway. Which is a real bummer for region-locked bros.

I do home someone gets Carrie sooner or later, be it Scream, Arrow or even Criterion.

The Burbs is in my top 10 favorite films, so obviously I want a decent release badly. I just have a standard player, so here is to hoping that the Universal release will be at least decent looking. I like extras, but Id rather just have good looking master first.

I'm crossing my fingers for

Phantasm
Nightmares (1983)
Matinee
Island of Terror would be a blast, but I doubt they'd go after it. Never know though, it does have Peter Cushing

I'm really hoping Criterion grabs Carrie too. I've been sort of anticipating a sneaky announcement from them. Considering it's obviously iconic status and that they have released it before, we all know it's very possible!

As for the 'Burbs, I'm happy with the Arrow release, but hope everyone who wants it gets their wish!

Based on what others have recently said I'm also hoping for Charry Falls, Death Becomes Her, Psycho IV, and Raw Head Rex, to name a select few. Of course there are so many others, especially any and all MIA slashers, that I'd love to see get a blu-ray release.

The international releases use Universal's master, and it's not pretty. It has some minor horizontal stretching, and also DNR.

The Changeling (1980) would be a day 1 purchase for me. A version (only Blu release that I know of) was released in Japan earlier this year but it was a 1080i upscaled scan that looks terrible. Still waiting for someone to do a proper release. Always hoping it will be one of the titles announced by Scream but it was released by HBO on VHS back in the day, so not sure if that's ever going to happen.

I grew up in the 90s and would love me some more 90s horror! Cry Wolf, Valentine, Village of the Damned & Turistas. Just a few off the top of my head that might be good releases for Shout. Some others might include Wishmaster, Graveyard Shift, Lawnmower Man, Species 2. Think these are all movies that are up for grabs.

Funny, you mention loving '90s horror and then name 4 movies--only one of which came out in the '90s!

Of the 8 titles you listed, these ones could be possible Scream releases:

Cry_Wolf
Village of the Damned (1995)
Turistas
Species II

Valentine, Graveyard Shift (part of WB/Par deal), and Lawnmower Man are with WB. Wishmaster is with LG.

To be fair, the US release was missing extras as well as a lossless track that were included on the UK release. It was released from a barely known company, was pretty expensive, and was the middle film of a franchise. Now that there are several Hammer titles released or being released, many will want to complete the collection.

Apparently the Hammer titles were big sellers for Scream and Synapse I believe, and it seems like there is a lot of excitement surrounding Warner's set, even though they oddly skipped releasing the first films in the Dracula and Frankenstein series, that may bite them in the butt.

Either way I see them selling more then most of their titles that they have so far released this year. Release them in a nice box set and they would sell.

90s-2000s...It was all a blur I thought Wishmaster was with Universal. Oh well, guess that one will gather dust until the end of time. Only familiar with a couple of the studios. What's WB doing with their collection these days?

Speaking of Graveyard Shift, who currently has the rights for the other Graveyard Shift (with vampires) and its sequel? I haven't seen them in 25 years or so.
