Well I personally would like to see other tittles get a chance on Blu-ray; sure these are great, but I have the ones I want already and am pretty satisfied.

They completely ruined the soundtrack on the DVD as well.

There must be a reason why MGM didnt give Shout the materials for Carrie. If Criterion or Arrow does release it , Im sure Cliff will not be pleased..
I'd purchase a Scream Factory release of The Fly, if they package it better, than Fox did. Original poster art would be very welcome. I'll give the Fox version away to a relative.

I'm still waiting for ANYONE to release Alligator.

Alligator is/was with Lionsgate. Last I heard, they lost the rights to it but I can't say for certain as I only heard it in passing.

You'd really rebuy The Fly at around $20 (with the same transfer and basically the same extras) just for prettier packaging?

To each his own I guess....

Yeah, I would. Beats buying the same transfer, just for a $100 steelbook case.

Fox did a pretty good job on their Fly release: better than average PQ and solid extras but I would double dip in a heartbeat if someone restored the film elements and re-released it. The transfer does look dated by today's standards. Only label I see doing a proper remaster is Criterion, though, and people are suggesting it's a long shot despite their relationship with Cronenberg.

Oddly enough on the sneak peak page for Howling II they provide a link to the currently on sale Howling trilogy that's been out for a while.

Because that trilogy set was released by Shout. Too bad the transfers are VHS rips.

Don't get me wrong, a 4k scan of the OCN would be awesome, but I don't see Scream doing that. Maybe Arrow or Criterion, but I don't think any label want to compete with the insanely cheap and well-stocked Fox release. I'm certainly not buying it again just for a couple new interviews and a slipcover.

The Jaws sequels have been deemed precious cargo by Universal. House 1&2 are with Image. The Hitcher is WB, but Scream could easily do a Carrie-style double of The Hitcher 2 and the remake, as they are Universal.

House IV is up in the air. Psycho 4, and Child's Play 2&3 have been denied in the past, but anything is possible in a world where they do Demon Knight and Army of Darkness.

I think Warner Bros. has House IV, as it was released by New Line.
