I too want more Italian stuff but I don't think they'll announce any there. I'd love to be surprised though.

Thanks! Yeah I am not counting on any more Italian stuff either, at least for awhile from Scream but also would like the surprise.

Who has The Company of Wolves now?

Cat's Eye is with MGM? I remember WB releasing the DVD.

From that list, I'd like those two and Tales From The Hood.

Yeah, I know no one will touch Clownhouse because of its legal issues, but one can dream right?
I can see Raising Cain coming from Twilight Time or maybe Universal in the future if Scream won't get it. Same for the remake of A Kiss Before Dying.
And yes, Criterion already released Eraserhead and has plans to do Mulholland Dr, so I can see Lost Highway coming in a near future (ok, maybe not so near).
I agree, Big Trouble in Little China is probably being kept for a future release with the remake.
I just added a few more likely titles: Lady in White, The Little Girl Who Lives Down The Lane, The Ambulance, Killer Klowns From Outer Space (assuming they're all still with MGM).

And you don't think Firestarter has a shot? I think it totally fits the Scream profile. Not a fan of the film anyway, just a guess.
Firestarter.. maybe a Shout title, could go either way. I think more gory, cold blooded horror is what Shout is looking at.
Don May himself said MGM no longer has Prom Night II
Clownhouse *one can dream* and also *some dreams dont come true*
Raising Kain will happen from some label at some point
The Lady in White is also very possible. I feel like Shout may have indeed gotten that one and the Guardian. I get the feeling that Shout could have gotten some of those mid tier horror titles that cost so much on DVD now, that nobody in their right mind would buy them. Ive noticed Shout does release titles that at one point were OOP such as MST3K sets and titles. I feel certain they have the Car this time around as well. its a perfect fit for the label. Anyway these are just hunches. I would love to see the Guardian but I cant stream it and the rental store I go to has misplaced it in their VHS stash

That article from Fangoria is false. Cats Eye is with Warner Brothers. No doubt about that one.
Shout has shot down Tales from the Hood. Death Becomes Her is possible
I think theyre guessing is way off otherwise

I hope they are exploring Italian, Spanish and Mexican horror. Some Nacshy titles, some of those fun Mexican titles like the Brianiac would be a hoot

They shot down Tales from the Hood, really? I would've bought that instantly.

Yes, two people asked about it once the deal with Universal was obvious, and Jeff said they didnt have it

Is Clownhouse the movie where the director molested the child actor? If so I can see why that isn't released

Yes. That's it. I heard a standup say something about how it just sounds like a movie with a molest-y set. "Hey, kids. Come on down to Uncle Touchey's Clownhouse."

I would love a collectors edition of Cat's Eye. With the original Prologue put back in or as a deleted scene. A Drew Barrymore commentary with Woods and Hays. Behind the scene photos gallery and video like one with the Troll costume would be cool too.

Yeah it's WB through Ted Turner and used to show it all the time on TV until the original DVD came out. I checked and the only release WB Shop has Cat's Eye is with a King films disc set.

Then we should rule out Lady in White. That's like a Disney horror film (a bad one in my opinion, lol).

I'm aware of all the "problems" this movie has. Maybe in the US the dream won't come true, but who knows internationally? Germany is great releasing overdue titles in the US I say never say never.

I think The Guardian has an interesting premise, but the movie overall is pretty weak and full of holes. What the hell Friedkin was thinking in that one lol. I'm not against the release, I think the movie has its value, I'm just not rooting for it.

I keep thinking about Big Trouble in Little China as a mainstream title.. I can see Fox or Shout releasing it in conjunction with the remake starring Dwayne Johnson if you smell what the Rock is cooking
I hate being "that guy" that annoyed me before I went region-free, but I really can't imagine Scream doing better than Arrow did with Big Trouble, so I would rather they do something else. Hell, like The Fly the Fox US release is pretty great. It's not really a movie that needs redoing any time soon either way.

People were saying the same thing about People Under the Stairs when Scream announced it, that they couldn't imagine them doing a better edition than Arrow and that the release was irrelevant. You might be surprised
