These would be a dream come true (and probably a miracle ):

Critters 1&2
Silver Bullet
Dragonslayer
Alligator
Not Of This Earth
Fire In The Sky
The Gate
Split Second (although I'll settle for the UK release)
Deadly Friend
House 1&2
My Demon Lover
Breeders
Almost all of these belong to WB, Lionsgate, or Paramount, meaning forget it.

So I take it you haven't seen this news yet.

Now then… one of the things it looks like we may learn about down at Comic-Con is that Warner Home Video may be planning to release The Iron Giant: Signature Edition back into theaters (as a Fathom Event here) on 9/30, and also on Blu-ray this fall. The film will apparently be remastered with new scenes. As you know, we reported way back in April of last year (see here) that director Brad Bird was in talks with the studio about releasing the film on the format. It seems that the studio is going to be heavily promoting the title down at the Con as both a Fathom theatrical re-release event (remastered with new scenes) and also on Blu-ray, including with a massive statue of the robot from the film, all of which was just promoted by Bird in a Tweet today. You can see the image he tweeted at the left there.

Bit unsure about new scenes (It didn't work for the Lion King IMO), but my god am I excited to revisit a childhood classic. As others have said, it's perfect. It has a perfect story, great humor, and great emotion. Very cool

Village Id say no, as this is mid 1990s not early 90s - but I would love it if your guess was right

I bolded the ones I think are coming.
I think The House Where Evil Dwells, Blood & Lace are possible as obscure titles. The Thing is a long shot, Tremors I highly doubt , The Fly II I kept thinking as possible if a new deal with Fox has happened. Raising Cain is possible..

I keep saying Village because (a) they have a tendency to announce Carpenter titles at the big cons (The Fog, Precinct 13, EFNY) and (b) I was under the presumption that it came out in '94, thus making it eligible for the category of early '90s.

My final guesses:

1. The Thing
2. Dead of Winter
3. Streets of Fire
4. Lady In White
5. Ghost Story
6. An American Werewolf In London
7. Nightmares
8. Death Becomes Her
9. Matinee
And from far, far left field:
10. Night/Dawn/Day of the Dead Collection

I think Shout Factory will release the Godzilla films on blu.

I'm also on the fence on whether or not Vincent Price Collection Volume 3 will be released. I would for one to be, but I'm not syre what would ve in it at this point.

If #3 happens I might literally pee myself a little....a lot. One of my all time favorite movies and soundtracks. How can you not love Diane Lang and this song?

I could see them releasing Village of the Damned soon. Just a gut feeling, combined with how well it fits with their other releases. Also have fingers crossed they release the Skulls (Universal) through the Shout channel. I think the Relic was a Universal release, that would be a good one. Doubtful, but fingers crossed that they or someone releases Turistas.

Not sure who owns rights to the following but there's lots of good 90s horror that hasn't hit blu yet. The Guardian, IT, Graveyard Shift (1990), Tales from the Darkside, Servants of Twilight, Lawnmower Man 1&2 double feature (2 doesn't deserve a single release), Wishmaster, Existenz.

Being Canadian, have to give a shout out to Slither as well!

eXistenZ was put out on Blu-ray by Echo Bridge, but it's now out-of-print. If it's rereleased, it will be through Lionsgate.

To my knowledge it was originally shot as a TV pilot, after it was not picked up for a series it was aired as a TV movie. Considering typical production of the time, it was probably shot on film with post production on video. Meaning the 1980's video master is the best they have to work with. (Unless of course they dig in the vaults to find the original filmed elements, but I doubt that would even be considered financially viable.) It was common for Universal to release some TV movies as theatrical films overseas during the 70's and sometimes 80's, but I don't think Bates Motel was that lucky. So there probably isn't a film print or film master to work with, SD video it is.

Which means it likely never will be.

I have the Canadian DVD with Cronenberg commentary and it looks pretty good. It's usually about $10 shipped and I recommend it to fans.

Actually longer than that - they said they didnt have it before they even signed a new deal with Universal, but not during. They have only shot down the Jaws sequels, and Tales from the Hood since the new deal was signed

I'm sure they denied having Demon Knight in that recent podcast, only to announce it a few weeks later.

Yup. They denied it on the KillerPOV podcast on June 5th, and the news that SF had it was leaked on June 15th (via the picture of the Comic Con buttons).
