Not a bit. I have multiple smaller cabinets instead of long shelves so Scream get their own. Here's how I have mine arranged:

Mines a bit unique as I ditch all slipcovers (CEs), special packaging (Nightbreed, Halloween), and use only blu cases (Halloween). I also include particular Shout! genre titles that blend in well.

Dude! I know some people don't care about slipcovers, but man when it comes to Scream Factory releases, that is one of the main selling points! They put so much effort in offering a really cool package for fans to appreciate and you toss them! Wow......

I don't believe he throws them away, he probably just puts them somewhere else. I'm thinking of doing the same actually, since Scream slips seem to be really delicate and bend quite easily.

I was hoping that was the case. At least someone else will enjoy them.

I don't toss them, I sell them and buy more titles. It's the exact same art on the cover. It looks terrible when you group them all together and half have slip overs and half don't. To each there own, but I understand what I do isn't the norm.

But hell, just yesterday I sold 4 slipcovers for $16. That buys me another title.

One day, someone is gonna want that OOP Lifeforce slip, and when then do, I'll be waiting!

I recently bought Scream's "Day of the Dead" release and immediately placed the slipcover in my storage bin. I prefer the reverse artwork and want to have it displayed that way on my shelf next to my "Dawn of the Dead" blu-ray.

I do the same thing, the collection looks so much nicer without all of the slips. Although I could never ditch the Halloween box !

I moved on from slipcover obsession after years in the DVD era of buying DVD versions with slips, or store exclusives, or whatever other exclusive packaging or ballyhoo they were pushing to make you go to either Best Buy or Circuit City or wherever else for various versions - and then years later, all of those releases are worth pennies now, if that, after the Blu came out. Blu may be the final physical format and slips may help retain some value especially to serious collectors, but at this point I don't lose any sleep over buying a title a year after it comes out for $10, instead of $20 on release day just to get a slip with the same exact cover art on it. Ya, it would be nice to have everything "complete", I guess, but companies are way overusing this "limited time only", slipcovers or bonus disc only in first # of units, and whatever other marketing spin to get people to rush out and buy at full retail, or close to it. I've fallen for it, and I still do for select cases 'cause I'm still a sucker, but a cardboard sleeve with the same art as the insert? Not gonna jump.

Slipcovers are like Beanie Babies. A small, dedicated band of collectors can convince themselves that something has value and they can keep collector prices high within that community. Then, one day, somebody realizes it's just cardboard (or a stuffed animal) and the artificial value evaporates. It's the kind of fake collectible that rises and falls with clockwork regularity. I've seen it a hundred times and I'll see it a hundred more.

Or we could like slipcovers just because they look nice. I don't always go for them, but when I do it's not because of any perceived increase in value (I even sometimes toss them when the artwork is identical to the case); it's because I just personally like them and how they look on my shelf.

I store my slips in case I ever want to sell the movie. Maybe I should just sell the slips, seems like there is a market for them. I bet the people who buy slips are also people who would file an ebay case over a bent corner though. Seems like more hassle than it's worth.

My thing with Scream releases (and Arrow releases) is picking a cover. I kind of obsess over which cover I want displayed.
