If you also enjoy even more exclusive bonus features and a better transfer maybe (this seems as though it was released early in their Blu-ray days), from recollection, along with being PAL capable (the video bonus features are in that format), I also highly recommend owning ARROW UK's release as part of your collection. (If you don't mind having different releases for an overall package.)

Even though I haven't seen this movie in a very very long time. Hopefully my Uncle Ivan could help get the Scream release for me. But I should rewatch it first since for myself, due to the length of time since I last watched it, I'd now consider it being a blind buy.

Is there any chance they'll send me replacement artwork? The discs are fine and I have replacement cases I can use.
This is one of the reasons I've always stuck with Amazon. (Well, that and I have no place to put the posters.) Hopefully they get back to you soon.

this is a movie that I've seen off and on since it came out. I feel that it's aged extremely well and I like it more now than ever before. the blu day was terrific with a robust soundtrack and a good picture. I think you'll be very happy with the upgrade

Ugh. Not me. I'd rank his Cannon stuff, Spontaneous Combustion, and Poltergeist all above it. Not to mention the first TCM (which I don't even like all that much).

Why not? Is Importing considered 'niche' too same with physical formats now?
Both releases have differing extras. So why not? Is there a law against importing if you can and want to own several different releases in your collection or do you consider it illegal?

Cause he said he'd be spending too much money if he was region free.

I liked Spontaneous Combustion way more than the first TCM, but not the second. I'd probably rank my Top 5 Hoopers as:
5- Invaders from Mars
4- Spontaneous Combustion
3- Lifeforce
2- TCM 2
1- Poltergeist

Decided to go for both Tales from the Crypt releases, Army of Darkness, and Tales/Vault for $82 shipped with the 15% off coupon and free shipping. This is about as good as it's going to get I figure, plus I will get both Tales and Army two-weeks early with posters. Solid deal.

Strange. I'm saving even more money, with the exception of a bit more expensive singles such as SERPICO, due to importing and being Region Free. Even with already Region Free boxsets which are far cheaper from the UK compared to the same exact ones released here. Sure, some can be expensive but more often than not I tend to wait for the best prices. All due to patience.
Of course, YMMV. Especially availalbility and prices.

There are many reasons not to go region free. Being stuck to that machine (I have several players throughout the house), can't bring discs over to friends house, can't lend discs to friends (I co-host a horror podcast and most of the movies we cover I lend him, so this is a huge one for me), players are much more expensive, if region free player dies need to replace it with another region free player which again are more expensive and you can't just walk into a Best Buy and get a new one the next day. Probably be harder to find ten years from now as well. Just look at the prices for a good laserdisc or VHS player!

If it is anything like the DVD age, most of the great releases will get a similar re-release over here eventually anyway. There are only a handful of DVD releases (Creepshow is the big one!) that didn't end up getting a re-release over here with the better transfer or the extra bonus features. Once companies licenses expire, I would't be surprised to see a lot of the UK only Arrow releases eventually make it over here.

**NEW TITLE ANNOUNCEMENTS for December!**

Happy Monday everyone. We have a few more retro titles planned for release before the end of the year that we're pleased to be able to reveal today:

ZOMBIE HIGH (1987) - Virginia Madsen (Candyman) and Richard Cox (Cruising) star in this humorous thriller about the bizarre happenings that occur in a prestigious boarding school. The film features a great supporting cast including Sherilyn Fenn (Twin Peaks), Scott Coffey (Mullholland Drive) and Paul Feig, who would go on to create the TV series Freaks And Geeks and direct such films as Spy, Bridesmaids and the 2016 remake of Ghostbusters. Street date is 12/15. Pre-order now @ https://www.shoutfactory.com/film/fi...or/zombie-high

THE BRAIN THAT WOULDN'T DIE (1962) - When Dr. Bill Cortner loses his sweetheart, Jan, in a car accident, he refuses to give up hope for her life. Scooping up her decapitated head, he brings it back to the lab for resuscitation. But keeping her head alive is one thing – finding her a new body is quite another. So while the mad doctor is out looking for spare parts, she's stuck at home going out of her mind – literally! And nothing will stop her from getting revenge on the man who is keeping her as a trophy girlfriend! All-new HD transfer. Street date is 12/22. Pre-order now @ https://www.shoutfactory.com/…/…/the...t-wouldn-t-die

THE DUNGEONMASTER / ELIMINATORS double feature -

Dungeonmaster (1985) Paul, a young computer ace, is forced to pit his physical and mental skills against unimaginable odds when a hulking wizard looking for formidable opponents picks Paul as his next challenger. Paul faces a series of seven spectacular and death-defying challenges and must survive not only to save his life but that of his girlfriend's too! Jeffrey Byron (Metalstorm: The Destruction Of Jared-Syn) and Richard Moll (Night Court) star in this eye-popping thriller featuring an appearance by W.A.S.P.!
This version of the film is Unrated and different from the PG-13 version shown theatrically. It includes an additional scene with some nudity. Parental Discretion is advised.

Eliminators (1986) A mandroid – part man and part machine – seeks revenge on the evil scientist who created him. Enlisting the help of a beautiful woman and a mysterious ninja, he pursues the scientist in hopes of stopping him before he can be further harm to humanity. Andrew Prine (The Town That Dreaded Sundown) and Denise Crosby (Star Trek: The Next Generation) star. All-new High-Definition Transfer
