Too bad Shout can't bring the first one to BD.

There are a lot of IFC Midnight films that Scream could upgrade, but I doubt they ever will. I was honestly surprised they re-released The Human Centipede films when part III came out.

The new Stephen King book is out in stores today, so I won't be watching any Blu-rays for the next few days.
I have a feeling that there are a few like-minded souls here in the Scream Factory thread.

We really need a Scream Factory announcement for Maximum Overdrive.

I don't think I've seen any direct comments from either Scream Factory or IFC Midnight about the status of titles that had previously been distributed through MPI.

Scream Factory was able to include the first two Human Centipede films in their Complete Sequence boxset. Based on Jeffrey Kauffman's review, it doesn't sound like Scream Factory's discs for those two films were direct ports of the MPI releases either. Was MPI credited at all on the packaging?

Done.

I'm pretty sure US rights for this title are caught in the black hole otherwise known as Lionsgate.

Thanks for the heads up. I wasn't going to bother checking since they didn't have The Stranger of Gravy at release and figured they were done stocking them. I'll stop by on Thursday.

Not really a new book. A short stories collection of mostly of already released material. When End of Watch comes out, then i'll agree with you.

Anyone else think that SF is getting more sneaky in release dates for their CEs? Like some have ingeniously been put out alongside a new sequel or series (Mad Max, Army of Darkness). I wouldn't be surprised if they were to release TCM 2 alongside that Leatherface prequel.

I know, but they didn't do it as noticeably until fairly recently.

Maybe that will prompt WB to release TCM3.

Pretty sure there's an HD master for it as IFC has been airing it. I haven't watched it to know how it looks or if it's the unrated version or not. All they have to do is plop it on a disc.

That's probably Marketing 101 for the home video industry. Nothing sneaky or ingenious about that.

It is a little spooky how they managed to peg release dates for People Under the Stairs and Shocker months in advance with almost otherworldly precision.

I've already read about half of these stories at some point or another, but you know what I mean. A new Stephen King hardcover is a new Stephen King hardcover, and cause for rejoicing.

I do hope that Maximum Overdrive gets untied from Lionsgate or, at least, released by Lionsgate.
