I actually bought a copy of urban legend last week for $20 from Amazon, so the price isn't too bad. I was on a kick of 90s slashers, watched all the scream movies, I know what you did last summer and filled holes in my collection with I still know what you did last summer (which I found more enjoyable then the first) and urban legend.

Then some studio needs to get on it, at least I was able to track down My Bloody Valentine and House on Sorority Row. Even the DVD of Valentine seems scarce these days. I also hate those cardboard/lock cases that it came with (same with House on Haunted Hill).

It might be a better idea instead of asking SF to release titles we want to just ask the studios that they couldn't get rights to to release them.

For the Scream Factory sale, are they going to swap out a different Blu each day?

I don't believe it is (and I'd be shocked if it was). Usually they stagger the additions to that 'up and coming releases' page, so I wouldn't look into that too much. Certainly, we'll only know for sure once Amazon listings go up for Shout's May releases. I'm still anticipating Lady in White and one other.

EDIT: There you go - Bad Influence has just been added. Though a Shout release, it confirms they're not done yet.

Yup. It's unfortunate that they're doing it this way, because for people intending on buying more than a couple of titles during these 14 days, the $3 each for shipping sours the deal IMO.

Manhunter (CE) also coming 24th May. Hopefully we'll get one more, like Lady in White.

Thinking of getting in on the sale. Might buy one of the $4.99 titles to get free shipping. Either of them any good? If you had to pick between Gravy and The Harvest, which way would you go?

Also, are the "Sweet Shocks" choices going to change over the course of the next couple of weeks? Or, are they going to stay the same?

Yes, there should be two batches. One this week, one next week.

Very different movies. Depends what you're into.

I loved The Harvest. It's sort of like one of those "fill-in-the-blank from hell" domestic thrillers from the early '90s we got hammered with in the wake of Fatal Attraction. If you like those movies, you'll probably really dig it. I thought the twist was quite clever as well.

Gravy is a really obnoxious horror comedy. I thought the script was absolutely grating, but it certainly doesn't skimp on the gore. If you like blood, you won't be disappointed.

I am so annoyed that I JUST bought Assault on Precinct 13. Would have snatched it up with Slumber Party Massacre if I had seen it in time! I will only do the deal if I can get two of the titles. I hope The Fog/The Burning are not thrown into the sale - or else the $20 for each I spent last week will sting a bit!

I get mine from Wow HD, they're generally not too expensive and don't charge for postage.
