I always thought Can+ either became StudiCanal or it was an arm company for them.

It doesnt make it any easier to license though

Movies that wind up with the producers is worse than if some label like Lionsgate or WB; the producers tend to ask for obscene amounts for their film..and because they are priced so high, the labels tend to shy away
