Does fye stores sell movies in stores with slipcovers. But online they dont? Is that normal? Cause i thought if you see a film in stores with a slip online would have one. From that store.

These copies have been sitting in that particular store since early last year. FYE online and stores are completely separate and the stores won't even price match their own website. It's most likely that the online stock has been sold through and restocked without slips.

Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks and no wonder. If you want a slip buy in stores.

If you have a smart TV, like Samsung you can download a SHOUT FACTORY app that allows you to watch some of their product for free - one of them is GARGOYLES.

The Shout Factory App is available on Roku and most streaming devices as well. I have both a 2012 Samsung Plasma smart tv and the Roku app and for the most part prefer the experience of the Roku which I just switched to in the last month.

Gargoyles is such a strange tv film... It's very hard for me to imagine people actually being scared by it, even with 1970's standards, but the make-up and effects work is pretty outstanding and looks better than a lot of independently made horror films today thanks to their insistence on lousy CGI.

Not Scream Factory related but since it's brought up fairly often... Pet Sematary II is currently airing on the Sundance Channel in HD. It doesn't appear to be an upscale and looks to be a solid opportunity for people to DVR a copy while waiting on an official Blu Ray. It's set to re-air tomorrow at 2pm CST for anyone wanting to check it out. Hopefully this is an early sign that a Blu Ray will be out by Halloween since an HD Master apparently exists and it's being broadcast.

(The Deadzone is also going to be up next and again tomorrow for those interested. Only a Region B edition of that film seems to exist at the moment as well. So it might be another chance to DVR it as well. As with Pet Sematary, hopefully this means a Stephen King set or Individual releases of these films are in the works.)

Just fyi - this Australian release of The Dead Zone is region free. I was able to get it off ebay awhile back for under $20.

What do you guys think the odds are of Shout/Scream getting a Paramount deal after the dissolve of the WB license. I'd love to see it, for some of the more neglected titles to get out there (the previously mentioned Pet Sematary II included).

Scream needs that deal. They need something big right now to counter what looks like Arrow getting access to some of the New World library. A deal with Paramount would be huge for Scream Factory in my opinion. Collector's editions of the Friday the 13th series. Especially parts 2 and 3 which still have some lingering questions about missing footage. Silver Bullet, Tales From the Darkside, My Bloody Valentine, April Fool's Day, Pet Sematary 2, and Vampire in Brooklyn would all be candidates for the Scream treatment. I hope it happens, but I won't hold my breath.

That would be a dream for horror & SF fans. I'd buy everything you listed day 1 while my wallet mourns its monetary loss lol.

Thanks for the info! I was under the impression the film was Region Locked. Looks Like I have a new title to track down.

As for Pet Sematary II from my post earlier, for those interested. The film looked pretty good for the most part but sadly Sundance had edited it for tv.

Even Vampire in Brooklyn? I know it's Wes, but it's atrocious. Made the mistake of watching it for the first time the night he died as a tribute. Should have popped in TPUTS or Scream instead.

How could you have been under that impression, the region coding for the release is listed as clear as day in the official Australian thread and database entry :

I just recently got an excellent 1080p version of this. Watched it for the first time in many years just last night. Still holds up today IMO.

Arrow is getting access to New World library titles? Could House (1986) be released at some point?

The Australian BD of The Dead Zone is available through Amazon.com right now:

The Dead Zone BD on Amazon.com

I just ordered mine last night. And while the Product Details say it's Region B, the Editorial Reviews section talks about it being region-free, too.

What does it matter what people say on Amazon about the region coding . The info is all on this site. I was the first person on this site to gets their hands on the Australian disc, and I immediately posted the specs (with the exception of the bitrates), including the region coding. What more do you need

I have a question about scream factory preorders. If I were to preorder all of their April releases would they ship them out as they become available or would they hold them until all are ready and ship them all together? I would rather order them all at once to avoid having to pay shipping twice but I don't want to have to wait for them all to ship together.
