I'm sure it won't happen, but I would love for one of the first announced limited releases later this year to be for Slumber Party Massacre 2 and 3 (As solo releases). Seems the perfect avenue to "test the waters" for a title where there has been a pretty vocal group of people that want the full collection without having to go all in on a large batch of them if in fact the first film did sell as poorly as they implied.

dont mention specific names since feldman used pseudonyms in book lol so who actually knows but people in that scene or was there. But corey talks alot about how that stuff the norm back then and even today still and happened to him and haim all the time and other young actors back then. It all in Corey Book https://www.amazon.com/Coreyography-...indle-redirect

That is just why i dont understand why even though it messed up and wrong what Salva did why his movies being singled out when it happened hundred of time involving other hollywood types and movies.

Here a article discussing the book to and some the situations.

Also so is it confirmed that some titles will get a steelbook treatment then? or is that just pure speculation right now? and if it does happen will they still have slips probably?

I'm sure someone already mentioned it, but Cliff and Jeff were on the new "Shock Waves" podcast today. If you don't know "Shock Waves" IS the now former "KillerPOV" podcast. Blumhouse basically just stole them away from GeekNation (or bought them out or something, I don't know), it wasn't hard and I guess it was logical considering 2 of the 3 hosts are Blumhouse employees.

They address "Jeepers Creepers", declare they will never touch "Clownhouse" (which I find extremely disappointing), the new Shout! Select line, and more. Another bummer is that they claim "Slumber Party Massacre" did not sell on blu-ray, hence no "Slumber Party Massacre 2" another major disappointment.

Starting in September (unclear if they announce them then or start selling them then) they have 8 or 9 "Collector's Edition" titles planned.

Just some advice... It's worth reading the last 2 or 3 pages of a thread before posting news..

If I'm not mistaken, no HD masters have been created for the second or third films, yet. The DVD releases utilized SD masters for all three films. Scream Factory had to have an HD master created when they released the first film on Blu-Ray and they would probably need to do the same for the sequels.

Yes he did, that's another reason we won't see the film released again in the US.
Abroad maybe.

also why it seem we getting so many re releases nonstop now instead anything new? there so many classic ones that they could do where no dvd or blu ray copies exist but only VHS copies exist that they could bring onto blu ray.

Just curious..... which titles do you suggest? Remember none of them can be owned by Lionsgate, WB, Paramount, or Sony.

I'd still like some more vintage Universal titles from Scream, such as:

EYE OF THE CAT
GAMES
THE NIGHT WALKER
LET'S KILL UNCLE
DARK INTRUDER

Necronomicon: Book of the Dead
elves which came out in 1989 i believe
The Prey
The Midnight Hour
The Devil's Nightmare
Blood Salvage
Blood Diner

and there tons of possible options from slashers to creature to supernatural options.

it just seem like lately most the releases are mainstream stuff and not many obscure or under the radar stuff.

Edit: also forgot supernaturals lol

I think the rereleases are coming because the well of available titles is drying up. It doesn't help that the more obscure stuff seems to be not selling and the contemporary IFC stuff is among their higher sellers.

I didn't ask you to read all 2000+ pages, just the last 2-3... you posted "news" that we had been discussing all day. If it hadn't been mentioned yet, or if it wasn't being actively discussed then it's understandable, but we were having conversations on this page about the news you just posted.

Didn't Coscarelli recently said that there were some talks about the US release of Bubba Ho-Tep? I think that one could be one of the surprise titles.

I ordered The Howling during the sale when it was temporarily out of stock. I am happy to announce it arrived today and came with a slip. I wasn't expecting it to at all.
