This is a nice british thriller that I really enjoyed back in the day. I believe it was Keira Knightley's screen debut. Any chance Scream might tackle it?

I would think the re-release of Vincent Price films as individual titles would be a like a license to print money.

And this thread has made me want to pick up Slumber Party Massacre now.

Even pairing some off. The two Phibes flicks, for instance.

I don't typically care about slips but when you get Sleepaway Camp without one and then SC2 and SC3 both with one, you kind of wonder what to do. Same thing happened to me with the 4k Spider-Man releases not long ago.

Does anyone have any information regarding the release of Nighthawks on Blu-ray, as announced by Scream Factory? Originally it was scheduled for a May 3 release, but this was bumped, and now they're telling me they "have no further information about a release date" for this title (some sites have gone so far as to suggest the disc is coming out in OCTOBER)...

They also couldn't tell me if the restored audio elements (i.e. the disco shootout sequence containing the correct "Brown Sugar/I'm a Man" interlude, which was missing on Universal's DVD release but WAS included on the Goodtimes full screen DVD, which I own but which looks atrocious) were going to make their way back into the Blu-ray release...

Does ANYONE here have ANY information about when this title is supposed to come out?

Oh man...I hope when amazon restocks EFNY and start shipping them out they come with a slip. I reverse all of the interior art to the original poster and it's just something nice about having alternate art inside and out. I'll be sad if this is my first blu from Shout! that doesn't have one.

So Scream has dabbled into tv shows every once in awhile (slasher and Hemlock Grove) and it got me to thinking what shows they may be able to retain rights to. The obvious ones would be shows such as Tales from the Crypt, Tales from the Darkside, etc. that they would never be able to retain the rights to release them. Given their relationship with Universal, I'd say American Gothic would be a great series for them to possibly release. Also, given their relationship with MGM, Poltergeist: Legacy may be another good candidate. The only other one that could possibly be obtainable I can think of would be Masters of Horror season 1 and 2, but Anchor Bay most likely would be into the idea. Does anyone else have any other suggestions to add?

That's cool! Are new special features being prepared for this release? And are you going to go full out on it? As in, add something deleted? *wink*wink*

If Clownhouse is going to get a blu-ray in any part of the world, my money is on Serbia, Greenland, Iceland or some really obscure country nobody would ever think of.

Hell, maybe it'll surface in Jamaica as a stealth bonus blu-ray to some random bootleg Bob Marley album or something.

The Hole was with Miramax/Echo Bridge - which I think was taken over by Lionsgate, but I could be wrong? I really liked the Hole ever since I saw it on TV about 10+ years ago. Ended up buying the blu as a double feature that came with Venom because I knew that I wanted it and noticed that all the Miramax stuff started to jump in price as it went OOP. Wouldn't say it's the best looking thing in the world but it's better than the copy I didn't have.

Cliff & Jeff were on the excellent Shock Waves Podcast with insights into the SF process, and the many challenges that can pop up along the way. Great listen, highly recommended!

Why don't they just throw a slip cover over Slumber Party 2/3 to help with sales because obviously that helps a bit.

I remember a few years ago Scream tried to release the 80's "Werewolf" tv series but couldn't get the music rights cleared. That was a really good show. The werewolf design and some of the practical effects looked better than most movies at the time. It's a shame the release didn't happen.

Speaking of werewolves, the news that "Bad Moon" is getting a director's cut was one of my favorite takeaways from all the news yesterday. Can't wait to see some new uncut footage that enhances an already excellent werewolf flick.

I've seen Clownhouse mentioned a lot in this thread and while that would be fantastic I wouldn't count on that ever happening. Supposedly Winters was somehow able to legally prohibit it from getting distributed on home video, which is why it swiftly fell out of circulation after being released on DVD.

I don't know how that's possible, but assuming it's true, all roads to seeing Clownhouse re-released go through Winters and it's very unlikely things change.

I bought a used copy years ago for under $50 and haven't regretted it, especially now that's fetching much higher prices. it's not great but it's a very effective little home invasion movie featuring a young Sam Rockwell and probably the creepiest clowns you're likely to see in the movies.

Been to Crypticon in KC. Go in with low expectations because some vendors don't even sell movies, no less Blu-Ray or Scream titles. You may find a few, but be wary because they may bump the price up.

Otherwise, have fun. It's a blast.
