Love the fact o order some of their movies on the amazon sale a month ago and i have yet to get them

It definitely opened in theaters, and I saw it at the drive-in. It mostly played at lower-tier theaters, of course. The film wasn't good even then, but the Rick Baker efx made it memorable, and I think younger fans today will appreciate the film's low-budget charms even more, which is cool. It's a loose remake of "First Man Into Space" from the 50's.

The effects in this might just be in my top 3 of all time for gooey goopey Creatures. The ending... let's call it "transformation" is a sight to behold. I had heard that the effects were wonderful and that the movie was a bit of a drag, but overall I found this one to be pretty entertaining and well worth adding to any horror fans collection for the wonderful SFX alone. (Even the trailer plays up the SFX and focuses on them throughout most of it's run time)

Seeing this at a drive-in would have been fantastic! It lacks the sleazy grindhouse demeanor of so many films that had success in this era, but man what a great Drive in experience this would have been.

best blind buy to date is still Deadly Eyes. if you havent seen it, see it. its epic on so many levels.

Slim to none, sadly. :/ Warner owns the rights to it currently and they don't licenae out titles. Id love for them to get their hands on that one though! What an under appreciated movie.

Given that Raising Cain was set for August at the time of the podcast, this would in theory mean that another 7-8 CE's are scheduled for Oct-Dec (and I'd expect one at most for December, it's usually a light month). Could we see as many as 5 in October? If so, I'm thinking they'll release CE's of Child's Play I-III. Those, plus Exorcist III: Legion and one other would make for a packed October.

Of course, it's entirely possible things have changed since then, and one or two have been delayed.

I think we'll see a couple more 'lesser' Universal titles announced for September now. Fingers crossed for Burned at the Stake. I can definitely see Virus being released by Scream. The rest of the 90s looks fairly bare now, especially given that certain titles are seemingly unavailable for now; also, they've apparently no interest in the Psycho remake, and there's the issues with Tales from the Hood we've heard about. No Escape would be nice though. The 60s and 00s probably have the most clear candidates left.

Given that the last non-CE MGM release was in April, I'm beginning to wonder if they have anything left on the current deal. I almost get the sense they were clearing the remnants of their MGM backlog at the start of the year.

I really should have gone all out on that sale and repurchased Terror Train, The Fog, and Sleepaway Camp. If they came with slips - awesome, if not - sell them!

I just went ahead and ordered Terror Train from amazon in hopes that it comes with a slip like so many of them did when the sale was on. I figure for $14, it's worth a gamble.

Also: has anyone sold their posters before? I got the two with Jeepers Creepers and will never hang them. Not sure its worth my time to sell them though.

Deadly Eyes is great. This was one of my VHS favourites in the 80s. It was called The Rats here in the UK. Holds up pretty well now too with the cinema and subway scenes sticking out the most. The Scream BD is excellent for a non collector's edition.

Same here, along with Night of the Demons. I still have 3 left to ship after that.

It doesn't really matter to me since I am waiting to watch these until October anyways, but it is pretty amazing that it took this long to get more copies in. For the price, oh well I guess.

Idk about that... Fanny (1961) comes out in September and it's apparently with warner.. I looked it up

Apparently we won't start hearing about them until later in the month, so I guess they must be scheduled for October and beyond.
