from just a pure packaging and cover art perspective, I'm disappointed that the spine on The Thing isn't black like pretty much all the other Scream collectors editions (minus a few including Garbage Pail Kids). All of the Carpenter ones have been. It would just look more uniform on the shelf. The blue will look off compared to the other ones.

I'm hoping the reverse art has a black spine. The TCM2 release has a white spine on the reverse art, but a black spine on the main cover.

This is all minor, I know, but just from a presentation perspective, I don't understand why they couldn't keep it consistent.

Finally some interesting remark about that other than "Salva is a disgusting pig who puts his disgusting desires into his films".

Hell yeah, the Deluxe Limited Edition is very much worth the $43 just to get the better slipcover, poster and early delivery.

Immediately pre-orderd! So can't wait for it to ship!

So glad I stayed away from the Mondo Steelbook!

I have the Mondo steel and I don't mind double dipping for the Deluxe Version which I did this morning when it went up. Definitely worth $43!

I also have the Mondo steel, and I think it looks really cool. I'll be happy to have both!

Oh. Hopefully Jeepers 2 will still look alright. Jeepers 1 has always been a grainy gritty film so there is no changing that. It adds to the atmosphere anyway.

They only charge right away if you have PayPal as your payment method. I JUST preordered The Thing Deluxe edition(those two posters look awesome) and it said in the email you're charged immediately with paypal and then you get an email when it ships. I did the same for Return of the Living Dead and the money was pending and then cleared 2 days later as a completed transaction.

I have a question about SF posters they sell with these CE. Any one that has received a poster from them please chime in. Are they shipped in poster tubes or folded to the size of the bluray? Those posters would be awesome to hang but I don't put up creased posters, just an issue I have.

Special features look great, excited to see the new transfer approved by Dean. And I love the cover art.

but all the cool old 80s posters are all shown with creases. its like youre already getting it primed for looking cool in 30 years of wear.

The SF release is pretty stacked with extras but I'm not sure the extra slip and poster is worth the additional $10.

I have a bunch of them, as I usually pre-order. They always come folded, not to the size of a Blu-Ray, but in fourths. Also, I have received a few dinged up, because they are not shipped in a box or anything secure.
