Think of the first Jeepers Creepers film as Ridley Scott's Alien, and then think of Jeepers Creepers 2 as James Cameron's Aliens, meaning that the first film is has a distinctly pure horror edge, while the second film combines the scares with a lot of fight scenes and adventure.

Jeepers Creepers 2 is not quite in the same league as the first film in terms of horror, but it still has some good tense moments, and it's more of a faster-paced rollercoaster ride.

I have the MGM/Fox Blu for Jeepers 1. The biggest draw is Jeepers 2 where Shout has given it all of the extras that MGM left off its own Blu for some reason and given it some new ones to top it off. They also gave some new extras to Jeepers 1 as well as the original extras. That and it sounds like both got new scans and transfers so here's hoping it will be a worthy upgrade for Jeepers 1. Keeping in mind that Jeepers 1 has never been a really slick and polished film. It's always been gritty and dark to match the material. I'm just finally getting number 2 because as said above MGM left off all of the extras from the SE DVD on that Blu. Which makes no sense, but hey...

Not to mention comedy in Jeepers 2. Those winks the Creeper gives to the guys? Oh yeah. Salva really did kind of sex him up in the second one.

The Creeper definitely likes dudes.

(Probably because it's easier to incorporate their body parts into himself.)

Seeing something like that gives me hope maybe I can finally get a blu ray of spacehunter adventure in the forbidden zone. Or maybe wired to kill.

You're in for a real treat!

Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared-Syn is one of those glorious early 1980s science fiction adventure flicks with fun fight scenes and cool makeup effects. It's not a "great movie" in the Casablanca/Vertigo sense, of course, but it nonetheless maintains a place of high esteem in the eyes of 1980s kids like me.

Plus, there was nothing else quite like Kelly Preston circa 1983.

I remember seeing this as a kid in the theatre back in the day. I was 7 and the trailers on TV looked cool as hell. I remember not being overly impressed (as a 7 year old, remember) but I had always remembered the name and that the guy from Night Court was in it (Richard Moll). Many years later, I tracked down a VHS copy at a Blockbuster almost an hour away from where I lived and rented it and enjoyed it much more as guy in his early twenties.

I look forward to picking this up and watching it for the third time more than a decade later!

Man, Jeepers Creepers...I remember how disgusted and disappointed I was when
[Show spoiler]the antagonist revealed itself to be a gargoyle-esque monster and not deranged lunatic.

I guess I'm guilty of imposing my expectations on something but I just could not watch beyond that. Up to that point it's some of the most thrilling and chilling 30 minutes of horror film I can recall.

I was dissapointed
[Show spoiler]Not so much it was a gargoyle but that they just showed it completely exposed in bright light. Id have preferred just getting a hint of his face and nothing else would be fine. Never having seen it completely or knowing what it was would be a better move on there part. I loved it till the end

I love that the scan is approved by the director of photography. That can be a much better thing than a director approving a transfer for the most part.

I actually dig that cover, the original is still the best but that new one works.

Yes but it's shorter??? Nice to have as a curiosity but I can't imagine it being any good with the good parts cut out.
