No, it says "import" and the associated UPC is for the Australian Madman release.

Nice catch on the UPC, looks like you nailed it...however, I should mention that most Scream/Shout new release preorders show as "Import" on amazon.ca

Some damn good choice from Scream, lately. Would love to get my hands on Child's Play, Carrie and Exorcist III.

Hi, new here but wanted to chime in that a complete restoration and refurbishment of the first Phantasm is being done by Bad Robot, personally supervised by J.J. Abrams and overseen by Don Coscarelli. This is a new 4K scan direct from the negative (which had extensive repair and restoration). There are also corrections being done such as digital erasing of unwanted elements revealed from the scan.

Last I heard the soundtrack was still being worked. I think the project has gone on for a year now, so no idea about a completion date. And I'm not sure about distribution since Bad Robot is part of Paramount.

It's already done, they are having 2 showings in Chicago early next month, both hosted by Don. Also there will be a new extended trailer for Ravager.

Nice! Well that's the joy of living in a small town of Eastern NC... horror news is a little hard to come by. As is most anything else of media interest. Thanks!

No problem. Hopefully we will have the release date for the blurays around then as well.

Might be nothing in it, but I thought this exchange on Facebook somewhat interesting:

Quote:
At comic con, here's hoping for Child's Play 2/3/Bride of Chucky in CEs, Serial Mom CE with 2K remastered PQ supervised by John Waters, Tales from the Hood, Phantasm 1/3/4 and more to surprise us.

Scream Factory: We have already confirmed several times we do not have Phantasm (or 3, 4 & 5).
So definitively ruling out Phantasm, but saying nothing of the other Universal-owned titles requested. I guess Child's Play 2 and 3 are inevitable but Serial Mom and Tales from the Hood have been shot down in recent times for various reasons so there could be renewed hope.

Conversely if SF listed all the titles, of that post, they wouldn't be releasing any left over could be automatically assumed as a yes.

One thing I don't want are separate Phantasm releases by different labels. I need a box set of fresh HD masters of ALL the films. I already have a bad feeling about this.

If you "NEED" that, you're probably in trouble, and for a variety of reasons!

If Arrow are really the ones that have it, MAYBE you will be able to get that in the UK?

Default Scream Factory Blu-ray discussion thread

Not to change the subject, but last night, I saw John Carpenter perform his classic themes, as well as new material from his Lost Themes albums. The show only lasted for a little over an hour, but it was very entertaining. John didn't talk to the crowd nearly as much as I thought he would, but oh well.

There was some cool merchandise. I picked up a pair of They Live sunglasses and decal stickers.

And to top it all off, I ran into Mr. Tom Atkins (of The Fog and Night of the Creeps fame, as well as a local Yinzer) on the way out!

I also overheard that Greg Nicotero was in the crowd somewhere, but I didn't see him. It was a great show though!

Edit: Slash was there too! I think that him and Nicotero were hiding backstage.

I still regret not buying tickets for this but I'm even more jealous that you met Tom Atkins.

I literally just found out via Instagram that Slash from Guns 'n Roses was there with Nicotero! I think they were hiding backstage.
