Scream Factory giving "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" a complete series blu-ray set would be worth so much more time, energy and money than friggin' "Clownhouse".

I'd buy Are You Afraid? and go through them again. I used to watch that every Saturday night back in the day.

Couldn't watch that Ghastly Grinner episode, though. That one gave me the willies.

Great news - looks very much like The Evictors (previously an SD extra on The Town That Dreaded Sundown) will be getting a Blu-ray upgrade soon!

I really like the film; plus, that art will look great on its own Blu:

I really like the film, and the cover art deserves a Blu-ray of its own:
really great cover, plus Michael Parks is cool

That's terrific - to my eyes, The Evictors is superior to Town (the lack of the latter's wince-inducing 'comedic' relief is a big part of it). Now where's The Legend of Boggy Creek?

It also gives hope to some other MGM titles released on DVD by Shout which were not on last year's poll (unless they have similar issues to Arena):

The Amazing Transparent Man (1960)
Beyond the Time Barrier (1960)
The Snake Woman (1961)
The Time Travelers (1964)
America 3000 (1986)
Cyclone (1987)
Time Guardian (1987)

Actually, that first pick of Zeke the Plumber is from an episode of "Salute Your Shorts". But I 100% am on board with an Are You Afraid of The Dark blu Ray collection set. I hope Scream Factory is reading.

I agree, I thought The Evictors was better also.

if you take Andrew Prine's character out of Town, it's a much cooler movie.

I have a feeling that they'll next announce a CE of the original Last House on the Left with 2k scans of all three cuts (Unrated, Krueg and Company, and R-rated) and new interviews/retrospectives.

That and Killer Klowns I'm guessing will pop up this year.

The MGM Killer Klowns already has extras as does the Arrow release, and if Scream does decide to put out a CE but just reuses the same transfer and supplements with only adding in things like a new interview, then it would not be worth the $35 SRP AT ALL. However, if they do see fit to give it a new transfer with both 1.85 and 4:3 ratios, the Transworld logo reinstated, and the full TV broadcast cut (Its not just dubbed over scenes, there's some new scenes in it as well IIRC), then we'd happily pay $25 or 30.

I really wish Scream Factory could work with a new studio. These upcoming releases seem a bit stale to me. I wish Paramount was more willing to work with other labels.
