Dang. I almost forgot that I had Assault. I ordered Assault and Escape from New York from Wal-Mart.com last summer and got slips with both. The Fog didn't come with one though.

I love FD2, it's my most played of the entire franchise! I felt my anecdote was setting someone else up to make that joke, so figured I'd beat'em to the punch.

I was genuinely furious when it happened because I think FD2, along with Scream 2, was my most played DVD.

Looking for something new to watch. Are any of the IFC releases by SF any good? Haven't seen any of them. Thanks!

The Babadook, Baskin, Shelley, and The Autopsy of Jane Doe are all worth checking out. It seems like everybody has seen The Babadook so I'll avoid going into detail on that one, but Baskin is cool/strange. It's a Turkish film involving an officers night on the job in a really basic nutshell. The film is beyond strange at times. I've argued that it could easily fit into the Hellraiser universe and could even be used as a sequel in it's current form if Pinhead was added to the mix. More strange than the hellish elements however is some of the dialog between the officers at the start of the film which I'll refrain from going into. Overall a really different kind of film and well worth checking out.

Shelley is a completely opposite style of film. Very dreamlike and drawn out. Much more of a slow burn style of film where the events of the film could be open to interpretation if the viewer decided to take the stance that things aren't simply as presented. This one surprised me when I first viewed it. It may have just caught me in the right mood, but I enjoyed it a fair amount.

The autopsy of Jane Doe is pretty great. It's fairly straight forward in the story it tells but the effects are good, the cast was great (Far exceeding my expectations) and it has some really creepy moments as well.

Also worth checking out the Human Centipede films if you haven't ever viewed them. The first film is the best and walks a fine line between horror and campy humor thanks to the performance of the mad doctor but in general is a reasonably enjoyable film. The second film is quite disturbing and ups the "yuck" factor to a whole new level. This one was interesting to watch simply because of it's take on the series and how creative it got with the story. Not for the faint of heart, and pretty much all humor has been scrubbed away, but still an interesting film worth seeing at least once. The 3rd entry, and the only one exclusive to Scream Factory is bad. Like really really bad. With that said, it's such a strange train wreck of a film that if you enjoyed the first 2 entries in the series you owe it to your self to check it out.

I feel as strong about FD2 being the best of the series as I do about FD4 bring the worst.

I really like 3 but I think that's more about Mary Elzabeth Winstead in low-rise jeans.

This was probably 3 years ago but I'm still not 100% over it. I was able to replace almost all of them but I've given up on deadly blessing and from beyond. Of the about 50 scream factory CE I have I've always preordered or ordered early enough to get slips. Never had a new release not arrive with the slip.
I have an extra From Beyond slip, but I'm looking to trade it for a slipcover for Dolls. If you ever come across an extra of those. I'm also looking for Manhunter, Lake Placid, Pumpkinhead, Bordello of Blood, and Night of the Demons.

Absolutely.

But if you have a taste for really low budget crap and fairy tales, it's a decent way to spend 80 minutes. I like the middle story with Matt Mitler, but it's a horrible flick. If you can make it past the first story, you're golden.

Maybe I'm looking into this too much, but anyone else find this twitter response slightly curious?

https://twitter.com/Scream_Factory/s...21772366536704

Obviously we can rule out Fright Night and Eight-Legged Freaks (a Warner title), while Dust Devil is said to be with Severin (though clearly there's some issues holding up a release). Could they have got a grail like Fright Night: Part 2 or Cemetery Man? Seems unlikely but it would be nice!

if so, they might be planning for a big October built around a title like one of those. would certainly be a big get for them - two of the most-requested titles i can think of.

Between the Scream Factory Valentines Day sale and the Target buy 2 get 1 free deal I ended up with a good chunk of awesomeness this month.

From Shout I got - Session 9, Lady in White and Dead Ringers.
Target - Curse 1 & 2, Stepfather(original), From Beyond, Halloween III(SF release), Grapes of Death and I Drink Your Blood.

Scream Factory are a little weird about how they respond to requests. They'll say they don't have it and then it shows up months later. Or they'll say they don't have it and they don't have it. Or like what happened with myself once, I requested a title, and they 'Liked' my request but didn't reply to it, and they ended up releasing it later.

Still though, I don't care who puts out Fright Night Part II or Dellamorte Dellamore, I just want them!

On the "You're so cool Brewster! The Story of Fright Night" blu ray it seems like it's more of just getting everybody in gear to get a release going more than rights issues. At least that's what I got out of it.

The answer does imply that they might have at least one of them.

That's how I read it. Essentially 'sorry, but if we were to answer this question in full it would entail the reveal of an upcoming title'.

The first June title announced is Alienator:

https://www.shoutfactory.com/film/ac...ture/alienator

I expect we'll see another bunch of those poll titles released in June. Should get most of that month's titles over the next week. Would be nice to get a surprise in there but I can't see it, given that they still have a fair few titles currently unscheduled:

The Man From Planet X
The Four Skulls of Jonathan Drake
The Bat People
Windows
Vicious Lips
Species (CE)
Slither (CE)
