I agree. Even with the Robocop trilogy I have, my preference for Criterion would make me definitely pick that up.

As for Hard Boiled, The Killer, the Morrissey/Warhol horror films, and those other listed upgrades, I would grab the lot. Even though I spent a bit of a pretty penny on that OOP Crits.

Just spent $225. At the March Madness flash sale. This, with the $300. I just spent on the Criterion flash sale....man, good thing I handle the finances...wife might just kill me yet. Quick, flash sale at StarmanJack's place...[emoji2]

Yeah I'll never figure this one out. The MGM 4K Robocop remaster is superb!

If it happens for Terminator, then hopefully it'll have the original mono track finally!

Tales from the Hood is available On Demand with my Comcast Ixfinity, but every time I think about watching it (to see if I'd be interested in buying the Blu), I end up watching something else.

Yesterday I went with The Ruins (which I had seen before) and was reminded how much I like that film. Would love to see a Scream release of it! Some really good performances from the two leading ladies.

The Ruins is with Warner, so my guess is that wouldn't happen. The current bluray release for this actually has a really good picture as well. Just get the existing one, you shouldn't be disappointed

Your movie collection is only as good as the number of slip covers you have.

Thanks to the March Madness sale, I'm now good on my wanted Scream Factory titles through June. I just pre-ordered...

Streets of Fire
Willard
Ben
The Evictors
The Angry Red Planet
Island of Terror
The Lawnmower Man
The Paul Naschy Collection
The Four Skulls of Jonathan Drake

The total damage comes to $207.80

I could probably shop around in the future and get these titles for less, but 20% Off and free shipping was enough to make me bite the hook all at once for simplicity's sake.

To each his own on that one I guess. I never understood what it is with slipcovers. There's a few I have that I love but its definitely far from a deal breaker. For me anyways.

I am curious though. What is it about slipcovers that gets people so amped up about a release that it seems like the slipcover is what matters instead of the film?

It's called anal retention.

Well, if anybody has a Night of the Demons slipcover and you're willing to part with it, feel free to send me a PM. It's the only Collector's Edition I have that's missing the slip and my OCD needs to be satisfied lol.

Agreed. I have never not bought a title because it was without a slipcover or stewed because something I ordered came without one. All collectors are different and have their own set of priorities; to each his own. But the whole slipcover issue (and it comes up a lot in these threads) is a collector quirk I've never understood.

I love Scream's slipcovers.

Not because I keep them, but because I wait until I have between 20-30 of them and sell them on eBay.

Always make a good bit of cash on them.

Yeah its also getting brought up on the Red Dawn thread about how we've discovered why there's so many people who think Shout! is infallible because people care more about the slipcovers than the actual film which makes even less sense to me. It gives a bad impression IMO to Shout! and is possibly why a lot of titles are suffering quality wise due to people caring more about slipcovers than the quality of the discs therefore those titles suffer unfortunately.
