Thanks! I really don't know. I just don't understand it especially with their numerous past issues with having to correct their mistakes and issue replacements (which I'm glad they did) but this shouldn't be happening in the first place. Its mystifying.

There was an audio problem on the new 4.0 mix being out of sync but they caught it in time and delayed the release to correct it. There have been some that got out into circulation but there are replacements and I think that problem is fixed now. You should be good.

I'm personally glad I haven't seen anyone else talk about wanting a new edition.

It shows that we are happy with the one we currently have.

Yeah that's what it is.

I wonder sometimes if this animosity towards people who point out these issues is more like animosity towards the companies instead but rather taking it out on the viewer for some reason. Like its been said though. Everyone's mileage varies. It apparently doesn't bother you so have at it with Scream's release.

I don't know where you got animosity from that post, but I assure you I have no problem with people pointing out problems. It's the "last time I ever give this shambolic company a dime!!!!!!!!!" reactions that just make me see why this forum has a bad reputation.

I bought the Serial Mom release and can guarantee said issue will never even catch my eye, but if it's a huge-dealbreaker for some then fair enough.

I'd say overreactions by both sides are plentiful and I'm sure both sides were responsible for whatever went down on facebook

So ... I take it there's no Scream Factory sale today? I thought there was usually a sale in early to mid May.

It's not really encoding issues like the complaints about They Live (which I found to be a decent transfer) that bother me but more the issues with reversed audio channels, incorrect framing, transfer and/or audio glitches, missed frames like with Army of Darkness, audio sibilance and hiss issues, gamma level issues like with Road House and any new issues that develop in the possible future or that I'm forgetting that bother me. Things that definitely shouldn't be there and are clearly the fault of the QC department.

Scream Factory was on a role (as far as I know) their first few years IMHO, then once that Army of Darkness issue happened it's been one thing after another ever since while getting a great release here and there in the meantime. Carrie is an outstandingly flawless release and is the poster child for an example of a definitive Scream release. I'm not saying they should be able to afford giving all of their releases glorious 4K transfers like that but they can at the very least be defect free and correct the first time around and all will be well with me as a Scream Factory consumer.

The sale in May 2016 was the only one of its kind.

Thank you for saying that. Scream is the only label where I feel I have to wait and see if there are defects first before purchasing their blu rays. I can't say I have that concern about any other label...

I really do agree in general, but man would I trade a single messed up frame to have They Live no longer look processed.

I'll have to watch it again but I've watched my copy a few times and I didn't have any issues at all. Again though that's just my opinion. From what I recall with the transfer though I would take that transfer over any QC defect. Is it a DNR issue with They Live?

Edit: I just browsed through it and while I agree its pretty processed I'd still take the transfer as is rather than a defect. I just don't find it as unbearable as most but that's just my mileage on it and I doubt we'll get a remaster unless it's with Arrow.

This. SF is going to thrive regardless, there's a reason they always win awards every year for their releases.

Instead of spending your time *****ing and complaining on forums where no one really cares or can do anything why don't you instead spend that time actually taking it up with scream factory themselves.

All this *****ing is the definition of stupidity. You don't like something, so you go someplace to ***** to people who can't do a thing about it. That's like being pissed that the fries at McDonald's are always cold so instead of complaining to McDonald's you go to the post office and complain to others standing in the lobby.

If you don't complain to scream factory personally (a half assed post on Facebook doesn't count) then you have no right to complain. Take your immature and childish complaints to scream factory and stop polluting forums that can't do a thing.

in all honesty, i cant remember the last time i bought a scream factory disc...maybe sleepaway camp trilogy which was a pretty good release. they went through a period of releasing garbage, and usually their releases have very mediocre transfers. id much rather buy an arrow release.

I'm getting some serious deja vu from these recent posts. Even the users are the same.

You and one part of the Scream Factory fans don't care about the issues. The other part does care. Forums often lead to discussion about the issue. You can always skip posts if said subject doesn't interest you. That's what I usually do. You just scroll down to the next post. Its simple.
