I'm not a packaging person, but, although I already own the box set, I'd happily shell out $10 to buy the upcoming re-release of the first Friday the 13th if they reproduce the amazing original poster art for the cover.

Original poster art covers is pretty much the only packaging thing I care about.

Dirk Benedict, who is best known for his roles in the television shows, The A-Team and Battlestar Galactica, stars as a college student who takes a summer job at the laboratory of an offbeat herpetologist, played by Strother Martin (Cool Hand Luke, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid). Unfortunately for him, the doctor is working on a serum that will turn people into killer king cobras. Heather Menzies (Piranha) stars as the doctor's beautiful daughter.

I first saw Sssssss a couple of decades ago on television, and the film has lost none of its "bite." I won't go so far as to say that it's a scary movie, but it is a lot of fun for those who love horror films involving reptiles. The scenes involving the actual king cobra snakes are the most fun, because they're such huge and malicious creatures. This film is so 1970s that it should have a warning label on it, and that's one reason why it is so fun.

This Scream Factory Blu-ray looks amazing, and the audio quality is quite good to match. The interviews with Dirk Benedict and Heather Menzies-Ulrich make for great viewing.

Well done, Scream Factory!
Yeah I'm going to need you to stop reviewing movies I haven't seen yet because, just like Deadly Eyes, I'm going to have to pick this up now. My wallet hates you.

How do you know whether or not your order was backordered? I can't find any kind of shipping info in any of the emails they sent.

When you checked out, each title would have stated that the film in question wasn't going to be available until July 7th. I didn't order until Thursday the 15th, and on that day, the following were back ordered until July 7th.

1 [BD/DVD] Lifeforce $11.49
1 [BD] Deadly Blessing [Collector's Edition] $11.49
1 [BD/DVD] Swamp Thing $9.97
1 [BD/DVD] X-Ray / Schizoid [Double Feature] $9.97
1 [BD] Bad Dreams / Visiting Hours $12.49
1 [BD] Metamorphosis / Beyond Darkness [Double Feature] $12.49

I'm sure that there's going to be a class-action lawsuit against me someday for overselling bad movies on this forum.

Sssssss really is fun and strangely good-natured in the way that 1970s movies are, though.

My winnings arrived Friday! Most of these are new to me, so I'm excited to dig in. Somehow, they all came with slipcovers, which was a nice surprise.

Ha, same here. I'm like "Oh man, I wish that was me," but I'd have to sell most of them because I already have them. But something about seeing that giant stack...want!

Very cool! Of all the Scream Factory releases I own, that stack there would have been a solid one for myself as I still need 14 out of the ones they sent you. Thanks for sharing the picture. Seeing a list of titles doesn't quite register the same way as actually seeing them all lined up like that.

That's awesome! I don't envy you having to choose what to watch first, though.

Question, do all CE of Scream Factory come with slipcovers? For instance, did Species 2 and Supernova originally have slipcovers when first released?

Those films weren't collectors editions, so no they did not come with slipcovers. But yes, you are correct that all collectors editions do indeed have slips.
