You're right I didn't see the free shipping.

Side note, only seen a few of these here. What are the ones to check out for this sale and does anyone know how long it will last?

If Teen Wolf was 13.99 on Amazon I would get it.

Or you can get a dollar off the price and get store pickup (but not always the most convenient local option).

True, but a lot of these SF titles are not stocked in store. I know my local store carries NotLD, Death Wish 2, Darkman and a few others but not much from this sale.

The ones I was looking at, the option was there, but it was directing me to a town I've never even heard of 30 miles away.

Another sought-after Universal title for January: The Projected Man

This first-time-on-home-video release features a new 2K scan of the film's interpositive.
Hopefully Let's Kill Uncle, The Night Walker and Games aren't far behind. Not too many 60s Universal horror titles left now.

Tried watching The Resurrected last night.. I have to agree with the others in this thread.. this film is bad. I couldnt finish it, had to shut it off.

Very disappointing and I need to stop blinds buying films like this.

Someone asked Scream if they'll be announcing new titles this month, to which they responded:

It should be noted that this was almost certainly going to happen regardless, since Scream will be announcing any February titles around that time (indeed, the 'or near there' indicates they'll probably start these reveals slightly earlier, though The Strangers and Drag Me To Hell might be among those scheduled for February, and these obviously wouldn't count as new title announcements). But it might be that we won't see anything like the big 10-title announcement of last year.

Unless they're planning to surprise us, it now looks like there won't be any reveals on Friday 13th, which is sometimes the case.

I saw those in store today, along with Raising Cain, Teen Wolf, Slither, Species, Lawnmower Man, and a few more I'm forgetting.

I assume the announcements won't include Piranha II and the two Shout Select titles revealed in the past week (Shakedown and The Projected Man).

Correct, these will be whatever is new for February (and hopefully beyond if they follow last year's pattern). Last year they only released one title in February for some reason but I doubt that will happen again. I expect to see at least one of The Strangers or Drag Me to Hell in February but that should leave room for another 3-4 new titles.

My Best Buy had Raising Cain, Jeepers Creepers, and Manhunter with slips! I was so happy since I needed all three of those for my near update to date Collector's Editons collection!

Watched The Howling yesterday, watching The Thing now then up next is Day of The Dead. The Howlings PQ was ok but needs some love, black levels are poor. It's my second time watching The Thing but first time on my new panel and while it does look good I was much more impressed last year. I can't help but think how great it would look in HDR. I preordered Arrows but I think I'm going to cancel in hopes we see a UHD release.

My advice is to just go back through the thread and search for the previous conversations regarding the sales. My guess is that there will be several pages devoted to each years sales. Just go back through the pages looking for October 2016/15/14/13.

Will Scream Factory be releasing The Exorcist prequels or should I hold onto my Exorcist Collection indefinitely?

There's been no indication thus far. Morgan Creek (I think) owns the rights to the franchise after Warner Bros lost/gave up/sold the rights to everything but the original.

But other than a special deal for The Exorcist III, I don't think Morgan Creek is about to loosen their hold on the rest of the franchise. Especially with the success of the new TV show.

Anyone else, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Well... so much for that.

***PIRANHA II: THE SPAWNING - DELAYED***

We sincerely regret to report today that our planned release of PIRANHA II: THE SPAWNING is being placed on hold until further notice. This is prompted by some unexpected issues that arose from the project after we announced it last Friday.

As fans of the film ourselves, no one is more disappointed to bring you this news than we are. We are working to resolve the situation so that we can still bring you the title in 2018 and will keep you posted on any updates.

If you pre-ordered from ShoutFactory.com, your order for Piranha II will be cancelled today. If you ordered via PayPal, your account will be refunded within 24 hours.

The former. James Cameron is too busy with Avatar to give a shit about some movie that ultimately gave birth to "The Terminator".
