All this talk about the Lake Placid Slipcover now has me thinking I need to hunt one down. It's the only collectors edition I can recall not having a cover for though I feel like I might be missing one other.

I'm only missing Sleepaway 1 and Lake Placid. By far the scarcest of the ones in my collection.

Never really cared for slipcovers until I starting buying some blu rays from SF. I started late, so I know I won't get them all and that's okay with me. I just want to get some of the most haves for me. Just need to get Night Of The Demons and Body Bags ones. After that if I see them for a good price I'll pick em up.

I agree, I usually remove all my slips but with my SF titles I keep them all.

I'm curious if Not Of This Earth will be getting the blu-ray treatment. I remember reading somewhere that that was a possibility. I would love to see this one upgraded.

I wanted to post this for the fans of Stephen King's Silver Bullet. I just got my copy of the new Umbrella region free special edition that was just released earlier this month and it's a great release! The transfer is very good and the special features are great and will play in all players AFAIK. I know there's been curiosity about this release on here on whether it's region free or not so I thought I'd mention that it is indeed (even though it only states region B on the back).

EDIT: Ok. This is strange. I just brought this over to a friend's house to watch it and noticed something really strange with the transfer. For around the first half of the film there was an abundance of horizontal looking lines in a lot of scenes that were quite distracting. I've never seen anything like it but it's not present on my TV during the film. Someone else mentioned these lines for this particular release on the overseas thread for the first blu ray edition that came out. He mentioned that it's probably an interlace issue with the transfer. Felt I should mention this for anyone who is thinking of purchasing this release. Again, this issue isn't apparent on my TV though so I don't know if it's just an issue with certain TV models but it's really odd.

If you are only looking to see the film, the Shout! dvd is a very good release!!

Has there been any word of Shout/Scream releasing a Blu Ray of Mario Bava’s Diabolik? Paramount licensed it to them for the MST3K episode, and there’s been a few cases where Shout released both the MST3K version and a Blu Ray of the original movie (Incredible Melting Man, Squirm, Gamera before the US right reverted again, etc.).

Just saw that! Looks very much like the House collection box set from Arrow which I am loving. This will be an easy day one purchase for me.

Fantastic price. If they amend the listing so that it comes with a free poster of the art that they are showing I may order directly.
