Something big is going to hit this year. Maybe even Return of the Living Dead Part II. Maybe even Surviving the Game for Shout Select.
Am I alone in wanting a collectors edition of Jason goes to hell ?

TCM 3 was probably a title they had in the works for some time and it "got out" before negotiations with Shout were completed. I have a feeling this will be reissued at some point through SF as a Collector's Edition. It's too big a genre title to ignore.

Very happy to get The Curse of the Cat People as well. I'm also surprised that Criterion wasn't the one to release it. One I've been waiting for though.

Okay, NOW does everyone believe the Warner deal is real?

Or did these two ALSO revert back to producers?

I'm with you but it needs to be the Unrated cut. And loaded with special features.

I could see that, as it's a hot title and part of a hot, fan-based franchise. People have been wanting that unrated cut (myself included) for years, and it's finally out in HD in Germany. There's no telling what SF has acquired, but there's no question that the possibilities are exciting.

I'd love to see a proper special-edition of Poltergeist, though I suspect the sticky wicket of Spielberg taking over that film both on the set (according to some) and in post-production will forever keep that from happening.

Poltergeist would be a perfectly acceptable and needed title for SF, being that it has no true special edition of any kind.

I'm wondering if the New Line titles would even be eligible for this licensing deal since they're still functioning as a separate catalog. I'm not getting my hopes up just yet for the above titles.

Warner owns New line and all of their films so I don't see it being an issue.

And I'm going to predict that one of their big acquisitions is Return of the Living Dead Part II.

Given the apparent art tease by Graham Humphreys, it seems almost certain. Moreover, it's probably one of the relatively few 'new' Collector Editions they could get from this deal.

No need for a prediction - commissioned artwork has already been teased. I've grown to enjoy this very flawed "sequel" over time but I still wouldn't call it a "big" acquisition. But that's just me

I've never been big on Curse of the Cat People. I'll have to rewatch my dvd since its been a while and decide if I want to upgrade. Definitely in for Night of the Lepus!

If they're going to release an MGM film from 1972, I'd have vastly preferred Paul Bartel's PRIVATE PARTS. Hopefully they'll release that one at a later date.

I'm absolutely excited about CURSE OF THE CAT PEOPLE.
