Good for them? Like I said, this is all just my unpopular opinion. Don't expect anyone to agree with me really.

I may be in the 3% here but I cant afford to buy a shit ton of blu rays from every boutique company so for a casual like me I like to stick to collecting from Shout knowing they put alot of effort into their releases.

A causal collector is thrilled that Fright Night and Creepshow will get a nice treatment and Region A release. Everyone who owns all these movies already from various companies whining about re-released blu rays is just acting selfish.

Scream will have something for you down the line so just be patient for once.

My complaint isn't that I'm not getting something I want. I'm saying I already own very good releases of all these rumored titles and to me these are all re-hashes and there isn't really anything for me. I guess if you are condemned to region-one only, I'm sorry for you, but hey I guess I'm glad too that you might be getting something good that you've been closed off to.

If they release a better transfer for "Night of the Living Dead" than the one Twilight Time did, then I guess I'm excited for that. Really do not know why people would be excited for "Fright Night." You've had the chance to buy it twice from Twilight Time and currently, right now, there is a very complete edition released, region-free, from Eureka. If you haven't got the Eureka edition, you must not really be that big a fan of the movie.

Thats fair enough, my point was just to bring light that someone can be excited for a re release thats not just wanting new art/slip like you said.

I tend to agree. Shout should put effort somewhere else.

Who would love to see the uncut version of IT (1990) on a 2-disc CE BD with the 2-discs being parts 1 and 2 and extras like commecials, retrospective documentary, commentaries, poster and still gallery and interviews?

Urban Legend- Yeah, I'll take another release of this one.
Fright Night- I'll probably pass. No way SF! can top the Eureka release.
The Blob- Meh. I'm undecided. If they can get all those old TV spots and trailers , as well as some possible new features or documentaries about the film, I'll bite for sure.
NotLD90- All I ask is for a new transfer and I'm sold. I don't care about extras.
Critters- Pass.
Poltergeist- Pass.
Carpenter's Vampires- There's already a superior release in the UK so why bother?
DeNiro's Frankenstein- Easy pass. Why are they even bothering with this one?
Silent Hill- Why bother with this one either? The rest I can kinda understand, but why this one?
Creepshow- Not interested.

Creepshow is the only one I'm interested in.

All I have is the UK 2-Disc Special Edition DVD. Been holding out for a top shelf Region 1 Blu.

If SF can put together a fully uncut edition of NoTLD '90 in a Collector's Edition, that would be a holy grail release. If all they CAN do is release the same cut, even if it's a new scan without the blue tint, it'll still be an improvement over what's available now but it won't be exciting IMO. This film was cut down to get an R rating and I want to see what Savini originally shot - all of it.

My brother has the Umbrella release and while it's certainly watchable, I could see where there was definitely room for improvement. The opening scenes are filled with all kinds of speckling (for lack of a better word), which becomes less noticeable once the film moves indoors and nighttime settles in. It looks like Umbrella just used the best print they could find without any additional clean-up.

I never knew the film was cut for gore, though. Is there a site that details what was cut out?

Yes extras abound even deleted scenes for Night would be sweet besides an ideal 4K or 2K restoration.

If a useless NOES box gets me more "forgotten turds" like After Midnight, The Resurrected, The House That Screamed, The Vagrant, Tales From The Crypt, I Come In Peace, or myriad other titles SF have tossed our way since their inception, I'll happily be one of the "so many" that continues to clamor.

That is the Spanish bootleg from Resen. Sourced from the initial German BD with the mono audio track.

Does anyone know if Warner Bros still owns rights to Gremlins? With the recent Scream/Shout partnership with WB, would love for Gremlins to get a collector's edition!!!!

It's always been a WB movie since the beginning and Gremlins 1 and 2 CEs would be nice with 2K or 4K restorations even for the original's 35th anniversary next year.
