Right on.

Someone needs to push for the sequel. And I guess release the other half of that huge doc with it.

It deserves better. Savini did the same thing James Cameron did with Aliens: he amped up the action and made a thrilling, dynamic version of an established classic. NoTLD '90 is not better than the original - it's a great companion piece. I'm sorry to hear that Savini doesn't care about the film anymore but I hope that doesn't discourage Scream Factory from picking up the license and going all out with it anyway.

Add the possibility of a never before seen uncut version and... well...

A 2-disc set with both cuts would be nice like a blu-ray of theatrical cut and bonus disc of director's cut workprint edition just like Exorcist III and the PQ from the Twilight disc i saw at a friend's house looked bad and needs 4K remastering or 2K remastering plus better coloring.

Who wants Cat's Eye in a CE with same great transfer plus new extras besides commentary like trailers, TV spots, featurettes, interviews even with Drew Barrymore and others?

Each film deserves its own disc, for starters. And while I think Nightmares 1 & 2 and New Nightmare are presented well in the PQ department, 3-6 could vastly benefit from fresh remasters. That's really all I care about, fresh scans and separate discs. Anything extra (new art/original art reversible. All those additional BTS specials for the sequels. New commentaries) is just icing on the cake.

And yes, regardless of how bad it may be to some, I want Freddy's Nightmares on DVD as well. What collector or nostalgia fan wouldn't? As Freddy Krueger said to those cinematic mistakes known as Dream Demons...

"I want it ALLLL!"
If Shout goes Freddy crazy, I’d also support them licensing Just the Ten of Us from Warner. It’s the other tv holy grail for Nightmare fans.

I guess for Night it depends on how big of a fan you are... That said, like my last post said... I have bought plenty of re-releases that I wasn't originally interested in buying.

Just Desserts scratches the itch for Creepshow extras. I'm not craving a repurposing of extras for Creepshow (although if they dug up new stuff, I wouldn't complain), but Creepshow really needs a better scan, perhaps even some restoration work. There's quite a bit of telecine wobble in the existing edition.

Creepshow does need a new release, and so does Urban Legend.

Fright Night? Get the Eureka release. Nothing else is needed.
Creepshow needs a 4K restoration, the Just Desserts doc about the making of the movie, Scream Greats Vol. 1 Tom Savini and as many extras as can be packed in and I'd double dip.

I bought the Arrow edition of Creepshow 2 and, although not as good as the original, the supplements were great and made it a worthwhile purchase.

I actually prefer NoTLD '90 to the original. I had a chance to watch the '68 version before deciding to buy the Criterion release & I was glad I did. I struggled to get through it honestly. I recognize it's a classic but it's not for me. If SF put out a nice CE of the '90 version uncut or with great special features I'd buy it.

While I didn't like the original NOTLD when I first saw it about 7-8 years ago, I've now grown to really enjoy it but still prefer the remake and find it superior in many ways.

Well at least he made some fairly bold speculations this time round. No Nightmare on Elm Street or even Deadly Friend being the most interesting, I think we all hope he's proved wrong there. Keep an eye out for Flash Gordon too, presumably in the Select line if it is coming.

The fact that I have the "insider" in question on my ignore list means those "leaks" are absolutely worthless garbage anyway.

So it means we're sure as hell getting an Elm Street box set and Deadly Friend.

A little overzealous. I wasn't even discussing any of that and my Valentine rating post got deleted. Lame. :/

Honestly, the Valentine chatter should've remained.

I bet the pre-Columbine hack job bloodshed would actually help that stupid movie tremendously. Wouldn't make that lame cherub mask any scarier though.
