At 7:27 you can see the listing of the extras and they give the 'Langversion ca. 93 min. (in SD)'

I'm aware, but I know I've seen at least a couple of posts since the WB licensing was confirmed hoping that Scream Factory would release their own version (along with a whole slew of other recent WB / WAC releases).

Generally WAC releases are very good to excellent. TCM III is no exception, as long as you don't see the the oval on your display. Those who have had their displays calibrated professionally by ISF-certified technicians will almost certainly see the oval, while those who have self-calibrated their displays or are using preset configurations may not detect the issue at all. To date, the issue has not been addressed by WAC.

September/October is gonna hit hard, guys. Kino has a lot coming out then, too. This is turning out to be a great year for the Blu-ray collector. We know Critters is coming, too. Even if nothing else is announced, I have to admit I'd be happy with what Scream has done this year. Everything else--and I have a feeling there will be quite a bit more (they've even said as much)--is just extra gravy. Bring on the gravy.

I really wish Scream Factory would put out a Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night 2 and Gnaw, Food of the Gods part 2 double bill. I'd buy that.

Except on TCM3, which is part of the reason why a rerelease is wanted.

I think SF will release TCM3 eventually, but not for a year or two (or until WB thinks its its sales have slowed down enough to license it).

Always liked TCM 4. The whole secret message about the film went over a lot of peoples heads.

Ikr! Some people are missing out on a really bizarre, fun, and fascinating little horror movie because they refuse to watch it through the "proper" lens.

I get not liking the movie, but outright denying its true intentions and dismissing it as a bad movie by traditional film standards when it's categorically not meant to be treated as a traditional film is just... frustrating. TCM4 is about as unique as they come and I genuinely adore it as the stubborn, punk statement piece it is.

Yep! The film is all aboutCapitalists ordering meat from the sawyers family to give to powers higher up. Very dark and funny satire on the secret elite that run the world.

Not necessarily. WAC never issued a replacement disc for the oval shape in every single scene set at night time so it was a pretty distracting viewing experience. I'd gladly pay for another version where that oval shape isn't present.

Couldn't agree more! I first watched it when I was super young and absolutely hated it upon first viewing. Now every time I watch it I love it more and more and think it has some genuinely funny moments because of how insane everything is. I can understand why fans aren't into it, but I think it's super underrated and hopefully Scream Factory's release will help people reassess the film. Scream Factory is seriously knocking off my bucket list blu-rays lately with this, Brainscan, and Return of the Living Dead Part 2.

The sinister, hidden oligarchy subtext is certainly there; the rich feeding off the poor (literally) expressed via the actual freaking Illuminati. It's so insane.

But I find the far more intriguing message in TCM4 is the director's outlook on toxic horror fandom, how we overtake "classics" and demand increasingly outrageous sequels then b!tch about how unlike the original they are.

Then there's also the more philosophical idea that horror filmmakers and fans are cruel to their fictional characters, trapping them in a never-ending loop of terror, getting brutalized over and over again for all eternity. I like that one too.

I especially love the scene where Zellweger's character climbs onto the roof of the chainsaw house and literally tries to ESCAPE the movie. She's reaching towards the sky, almost like she's begging "WTF is wrong with you?! Why are you just watching this? Get me out of here!" And let's not forget that amazingly meta scene in the limo where the Illuminati villain outright apologizes for making everyone suffer through such an off-the-rails mess.

It's so meta it hurts. I genuinely adore TCM:TNG.

The only possible way I'd buy TCM: Next Generation is if they have some really good extras otherwise it's an easy pass. I watched it again a few months back hoping that maybe I'd like it this time since I hated but but nope, still horrible & still hated it. That's the one TCM film that if I don't have in my collection it won't be missed.
