They're definitely running aggressive right now. October is their money month, and those are still under wraps. I'm a little thrown off by Exorcist 2 and TCM - TNG. A few weeks ago I would've said there was no way they'd do an ANOES box, but now I just don't know. It still seems a little too big of an undertaking. I'm willing to bet the big October boxset is Critters, which is fine with me. I'm calling Critters Box as their big October announcement. ANOES would be great, but it just seems too big. Too massive of a project, unless it's set up for next year. A SDCC announcement, maybe.

Yup. My understanding is that the process would go like this: WB gives SF a list of available titles (with probably a minimum and maximum number of titles they can pick), and then SF picks. After those titles are released by SF, a new deal can be made, and the process starts over. The lists probably get longer and more prestigious as the partnership goes on.

I don't know how many titles they'll release in October (they may not be done for this month yet), but if I was to predict I'd go for these:
Critters Set Fright Night (CE) Night of the Living Dead (1990) (CE) Creepshow (CE) Lost Boys (CE) And then possibly a few non-CE Sony and Warner titles sprinkled in. I did wonder if they might drop Fright Night Part II with the first but then I think they shot it down again fairly recently so I'm not convinced we'll see that any time soon. Alligator is another one I'm tempted to to go for but I can't see more than 4 CE's in one month, even that seems like one too many. |

The only two on that list I feel particularly confident about are Critters and Creepshow. You're right, it's really difficult to guess now with these deals in play, especially if they release 8 or so titles again.

I think a Nightmare On Elm Street set will be Shout Factory's "event" release this year. They've already revealed a robust schedule but they need a big anchor release to tie everything in nicely and this is it.
