It's possible that Warner is still planning on releasing their classic properties through the Warner Archive Collection, and that all these big titles we think Scream Factory has acquired are not in fact actually available to them. I think there's a good chance we'll discover whether that's true today, or at the very latest, Monday.

I wouldn't put it past SF to reissue select earlier Universal pickups with fresh scans, particularly John Carpenter stuff. Weren't They Live and Prince of Darkness problematic in some way?

Grotesque ended up on a 4 movie collection. Oddly it was the only title to be presented 4:3 rather than 16:9. Was Grotesque released theatrically?

I am hoping for some more Corman titles. We need a Carnosaur box set.

I keep updating the Scream Factory New and Coming Soon page, hoping to see something pop up in the October titles next to Valley Girl and The Man in the Iron Mask. I'm dying to know what they have. The suspense is KILLING ME.

Not quite what I expected, but maybe it could be another 7-8 title month. I thought they'd kick off proceedings with a bigger title than this though. Looks like they're going to keep us hanging until Monday now.

Bit annoying since Retro Media released this to Blu-ray in a double feature with Beast of Haunted Cave. I imagine the picture quality will be better here but meh.

I love the “unimportant” Scream announcements like Eye of the Cat, The Angry Red Planet, and such, because they are always pleasant surprises.

I’m sure that The Wasp Woman will be worth a double dip.

This is actually pretty typical stuff for this time of year. The hype train get's rolling at full speed during the last few weeks of June and early July and then makes it's usual stop at disappointment station during Comic con.
