I see people complaining about the amount of double dips, and then expressing disappointment that they didn't announce other double dips. :P I don't need another version of Gremlins, Poltergeist, The Road Warrior, etc. unless it's on 4K UHD, so it may be for the best if Scream can't release those. They seem to have a good balance of re-releases and movies that are new to Blu-ray. The Curse of the Cat People was a great release, and I feel like I've been waiting forever for Single White Female.

Someone (Warner Archive?) needs to put out Horror of Dracula, the one that kicked off Hammer's Dracula cycle. The UK got a nice release, but it is region B locked. I have it on VUDU and the copy there leaves something to be desired.

well yeah, because in some examples the original titles are out of print and people don't have them.

In my case I have 10 to Midnight and Dracula, Prince Of Darkness and so I'm disappointed in their announcements...

I don't have The Blob and NOTLD '90 and of course those don't get announced...

kind of hard to not be disappointed in examples like that....

Agree on Curse Of The Cat People... it's titles like that (also The Tingler and Strait-Jacket) that excite me far more than last night's titles....

I have the UK release, but I would easily double dip on that title if the US got a nice release.

Deadly Friend
The Hand
Eyes Of A Stranger
etc etc etc

Is it possible that Scream has them but are waiting to announce them later?
Still negotiating them?
Doesn't have them at all?

With the recent info on their Warner and Columbia deal, I was sure expecting different titles last night.... and was surprised on just how many double dips there were....same with the Shout titles announced...
I think it's possible they have The Hand and Eyes of a Stranger and might be announcing it at a later date. Same for NoTLD '90. As for Deadly Friend, I'm sure they know there's a big demand for it. Since it didn't make last night's announcement I don't think they have it.
As for the other titles you mentioned (Fright Night, The Blob), Sony is prob saving these for future UHD releases.

I think Sony will release Fright Night themselves on 4K, and I think The Blob (1988) and Night of the Living Dead (1990) will probably come some time next year from Scream Factory. All of the titles announced last night should be out by February or March, and are probably almost ready. For other titles they’ve acquired, they may need more time to produce new extras before they can announce them.

I watched both The Blob and NOTLD ‘90 (and Silver Bullet), on a UBP-X800 with no issues.

Besides, there's a variety of titles from both companies begging to be released on bluray.
That being said, Critters is a welcome and terrific addition and Obsession depending on how it stacks up/compares to the Arrow version which I have.
My exact thoughts, Obsession is a great film and the best one they announced but, I already have the arrow deluxe version that included the screenplay.

I was hoping for a Deathstalker III/IV combo to go with their first release, which must have sold better than expected considering how fast it sold out.

Not a bad selection of titles, though. I'll have to wait and see how their Candyman stacks up next to Arrow's... though Arrow tends to be my first choice when it comes down to these two.

So with the announcement of Dracula: Prince of Darkness, I'm wondering if Frankenstein Created Woman is another Hammer title SF might announce next.

Someone mentioned Valentine in the thread. Such an underrated horror flick that needs a blu release.

Picked up Candyman & Farewell To The Flesh as well as Urban Legend & Single White Female. With the 20% it came out to $66.66 lol

Surprised so many are picking up the Critters collection, if it was just the first 2 sure, but didn't like the last 2.

yeah, I'd like to get the first 2 as well and skip the others...

I think I'll just wait for those to come out in separate steelbook editions in a year from now....

I would LOVE to be able to finally ditch my snapper case DVD of Valentine and add this to my Blu-ray collection. While I doubt we’ll ever see the original cut of the film, the inclusion of the cut material as deleted scenes would be a dream bonus.

Jamie Blanks’s apparent heavy involvement with the Urban Legend bonus features makes it seem even more inevitable for a Valentine release

I like Valentine alot also & hope put it out on BD next year. I didn't know about the original cut though, is it just more gore?

According to director Jamie Blank, the film received an R rating but the studio went back and trimmed/softened a lot of the violence due to the political climate at the time. Exactly how much was changed is unconfirmed but I’ve read the deaths of
[Show spoiler]Shelley, Ruthie, and Paige
we’re all originally more graphic.
