I think the Wicker Man would give it a run for its money.... (the original; never seen the Nic Cage version)

Another classic! Yes!

The Nic Cage remake is.... well, it's worth a watch just to see Nic swing for the fences like he always does. But, it's definitely not good.

The use of New York for Rosemary's Baby is hardly cliche though...the irony of a tale of such claustrophobia and isolation in one of the world's biggest metropolises is delicious.

I noticed that in my order too which is strange because Scream titles usually get release day delivery here...

Yes, you're absolutely right. I haven't watched it in one sitting for over a decade. I need to pull down my copy and rewatch for the season. I like Polanski, especially Fearless Vampire Killers, so I think I'll actually like RB now that my tastes in film has grown considerably.

Amazon.ca always has Scream titles listed as release day delivery but none of the October titles have this and the November titles are all listed as imports which means that .ca won't be selling them directly...

And the shots of Farrow outside in NYC are still claustrophobic i.e. when she's in the phone booth and that man is blocking the entrance.

We should start a Rosemary's Baby appreciation thread haha.

Not for Scream, but for Shout (still aligns better than all the Rosemary's Baby talk ) but the wish list forum made me think about Death to Smoochy. This would be a great, unreleased on blu, title for Shout to get. Would be great for the Shout Select line.

Funny. Killing time this afternoon I've been reading a lot of Edward Norton articles and I smirked when I found out that he hired his own wardrobe designer on that movie for a specially-made hemp suit.

I still think Robin Williams has one of the best lines in history in that movie. "She's been down on everything but the Titanic!"

Death to Smoochy absolutely needs a Blu-ray, probably my favorite comedic Robin Williams role. Hell, there is a lot of movies from WB I want on Blu-ray, like Little Nicky still hasn't gotten one.

Twilight Time has posted that they've halted work on restoring Fox titles, as it's rumored that Disney, in hopes of pushing its massive streaming service, will be ceasing all physical media. It's probably safe to say Scream Factory will not be acquiring any Fox titles for future releases. There goes our chance for Big Trouble in Little China, probably.

That makes no sense considering a lot of Fox movies are R rated and Disney's streaming service will not have ANY R-rated/TV-MA content. I'm sure the deal will slow things down, but I highly doubt that they're going to stop physical entirely.

Well that sucks. I've been waiting a long time for The Beach to hit bluray. Still blows my mind that it never happened.

If studios cease physical releases, they won’t be able to keep making multiple editions of the same movie (Regular, special, collectors, deluxe...Repeat under a new player format). It will be a lot harder to milk the same title multiple times with digital media. I can’t see people buy more than one digital copy of Star Wars or any other movies.

Physical media will not go away. Sales will dip, like with everything else, but it won't disappear. For one, studios still make money on disc sales. A lot of it. Why would they give this revenue up? Even if sales go down to less than 5% of total home entertainment revenue (which is unlikely to ever be that low) - that's still income. Second - look at vinyl. Old formats are new again. Hell, even 3 piece suits are back but that's another thread
