The VHS cover is OOP, but it looks like it was reissued in a new Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Mediabook release. There's also a standard edition with just the Blu-Ray.

You guys got me looking at my purchases this year...doing the count, I bought way more Scream titles than I would've of remembered off the top of my head:

Hell Night
In the Mouth of Madness
Return of the Living Dead part II
Lifeforce (not a double-dip)
Brainscan
Halloween III (double-dip, my old copy was scratched for some reason... new transfer is tight)
Creepshow
Night of the Demons (not a double-dip)
Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation
Candyman
Silent Night Deadly Night part II

Didn't get a whole lot of Scream/Shout this year but most of the ones I did were titles I had really been hoping for. Probably won't be able to get Starman or Dracula: Prince of Darkness until after New Year's, so this is my final (small) tally.

* The 'Burbs
* The House That Dripped Blood
* In the Mouth of Madness
* Memoirs of an Invisible Man
* Someone's Watching Me!
* Strait-Jacket
* City Slickers

For past releases, I also picked up Return of the Living Dead. Paid more than I normally would have but I came across a sealed copy w/slipcover in FYE one day and couldn't resist.

Here's my 2018 Scream purchases.
They've had a rough year but I look forward to 2019.

Edit : Forgot to pull Of Unknown Origin off the shelf.

The ones I picked up this year:

Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2
Urban Legend
Critter Collection
Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The New Generation
Return of the Living Dead Part II
Gate II
Hell Night
Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon
Drag Me to Hell
Piranha II: The Spawning
Creepshow
It's Alive Trilogy
Sleepwalkers
The Vampire and the Ballerina
The House That Dripped Blood

I think that might be it for the stuff they actually put out this year. I know I picked up a few of their older titles but I don't remember what those were off the top of my head

Another Shout Factory price drop: The Dances With Wolves steelbook is now $16.59. If I didn't already own a beautiful German steelbook of the film I'd go for this. Is there anything noteworthy about the SF edition? New scan? New extras? This film deserves the Criterion treatment, not be lumped in with all the other casual double dips just for packaging.

The important thing is that it premieres the original theatrical cut for the first time in the U.S.

I only picked up Creepshow from Scream Factory in 2018. Reasons are obvious as to why that’s the case. No need to get into the discussion for the 978th time.

Obviously Creepshow was the only release that interested you. If you're using the new pricing structure as the reason you didn't pick anything up, that wouldn't add up since the new prices didn't take effect until September. What about the previous 8 months? And the admittedly few and sporadic but welcome price drops since the change? I hate Shout's price gouging but I've picked up quite a few titles. They're still very much a viable label.

Wrong. There were others I wanted to pick up but they unfortunately just so happened to come out in the latter part of this year, during this new price structure practice. Candyman, Scream for Help and Dracula: Prince of Darkness, for the record. And I’m fairly certain none of those releases have gotten an adequate price drop. The first 8 months of the year were slow to me personally. They aren’t viable to my wallet going forward but that’s okay. Cutting back next year anyways.

Hell Night ($15) and The Thing 4k ($18.67)

Everything else sucked or was far too overpriced.
