Urban Legend is still in stock at the moment at walmart.com, and deepdiscount.com. If you need it immediately, consider ordering from there.

No idea on the current rights owner since I heard HBO no longer owns the rights to it. I want to import the German blu ray but the price is too high (Over 60 Euros).

Does anyone have any info regarding the Shout Roger Corman Cult Classics release of Streets/Angel In Red?

It is listed on this site as having a Blu-ray release, but the only info I can find indicates release as a DVD. I haven’t seen anything else regarding a Blu-ray.
The original price would seem to indicate that it’s a DVD as well, but wanted to check.

Thanks!

The review of Valentine over at whysoblu offers a potentially very interesting snippet of info concerning a hidden extra:

Quote:
Easter Egg (HD, 1:06) – Jack Sholder is shown the end of the film and answers as to whether he feels Blanks ripped him off or if he thought it was an homage. You can access this when the cursor is on “Theatrical Trailer” and you press right. A heart with an arrow through it will appear. Is it possible this interview clip comes from a potential future Scream Factory Alone In The Dark Blu-ray? Cross your fingers!
Now I notice there's a new interview with Sholder on the forthcoming Street Fighter Collection, though given that he merely put together the trailer for the first film (and perhaps some work on the titles according to IMDB), I'm not entirely convinced that Shout would seek him out for an interview solely about this project (after all, it's not like it's going to add extra incentive to those interested in buying it). It seems more likely to me that they would have asked him about it as part of a broader interview, presumably about a project in which he was more heavily involved. Moreover, why ask him a question about Valentine - and it's specific connection to Alone in the Dark - during an interview about Street Fighter? It's also possible he might have been interviewed for Renegades (a potential Shout Select release), or even a CE of The Hidden (seems unlikely given the WA release isn't that old, though you never know), but the specific link between Alone in the Dark and Valentine in this instance is difficult to ignore. He has previously done interviews for Scream's releases of The Burning and Supernova, though I don't see any reason why they'd bring up a comparison between Alone in the Dark and Valentine during those interviews (plus someone should be able to compare the various interviews to see if the piece on Valentine is from the same session or not).

They'll start to announce May's titles very soon (could be later this week, though Monday is more likely), so we'll all be eager to see if Alone in the Dark is among them.

Did Scream ever say anything about releasing more films from the Blind Dead series? It's been a year since Night of the Seagulls came out.

That sounds promising regarding Alone in the Dark (1982). I was hopeful either Scream Factory or Warner Archive would put it out. Maybe Eyes of a Stranger (1981) and He Knows You're Alone (1980) have a shot?

I wish Paramount would license Let's Scare Jessica to Death (1971) and April Fool's Day (1986) to another label since they have no desire to release them.

Could end up with Sony themselves as a MOD release. I always thought of this one as one really long - and excellent - X-Files episode

That is probably the best possible way I could think to describe it.

I would love Scream Factory to put out the following:
-Clownhouse
-Nightmare On Elm St 5: The Dream Child (UNRATED VERSION)
-Return To Sleepaway Camp
-My Demon Lover
-Return To Salem's Lot
-Night Of The Demons 3

I am so glad they released the Critters collection, Sleepaway Camp, American Gothic, Brainscan, Texas Chainsaw 2, Silent Night, Deadly Night!!! All AWESOME releases!

Well that was unexpected...

I likely won't be in a huge rush to pick this up since I have the Second Sight disc with the original film, but if I know me... I'll want to grab this at some point.

If they're serious about dipping their toes into Universal TV movie/mini-series waters I think these are key candidates:

Dark Intruder (it got a theatrical release, but it was made for TV)
Fear No Evil
Ritual of Evil
The Deadly Dream
The Screaming Woman
The Victim
Maneater
Trapped
Scream Pretty Peggy
Frankenstein: The True Story
House of Evil
Killdozer
The Strange and Deadly Occurrence
The Dark Secret of Harvest Home
Bay Cove
High Desert Kill
Buried Alive
I'm Dangerous Tonight

Someone posted on another forum a while back that Frankenstein: The True Story might be coming in 2019 - didn't say the label but if so it would have to be Scream. Remains to be seen if it's true of course. It's a shame the Universal agreement doesn't seem to permit double features, as some of these would match up well (Fear No Evil/Ritual of Evil, Maneater/Trapped, House of Evil/The Strange and Deadly Occurrence, etc).

I pre-ordered a few titles directly from Shout a week or so ago. I had only ordered directly from them once before. I was surprised to be charged immediately for my order and found it odd that my shipping cost was zero(the total was around $190.00). I was emailed about shipping Tuesday and received my copy of Return of the Vampire today! I was not charged any additional fee for shipping.

Definitely down for I'm Dangerous Tonight. I remember that was a USA Network exclusive when it first came out in 1990 and featured Anthony Perkins in one of his final films.

Shipping is free for orders over $50, and they ship as the items become available.
