Considering that title was released nearly 4 years ago I'd consider that a nice little cherry on top of an otherwise solid deal. Poltergeist II and Poltergeist III are set to arrive tomorrow and I have a fair amount of hope that both of these will arrive with slips as well. I'll be sure to report back as I know you're all like me and on the edge of your seat with anticipation.
I think it's interesting to see if older releases still come with slips since it's basically luck of the draw at this point.

Agreed. I had unusually high hopes for this one in particular since I knew it isn't a very popular title and when I purchased it from Target I got the very last copy in their system as the listing was removed after I placed my order. That lead me to believe this was the last copy from old stock and that the odds would be good that I'd end up with a slip. I'm hopeful Poltergeist will turn out with the same result, but am much less confident considering these 2 films are much more well known. A part of me feels like Part 3 will likely have a slip, but part 2 may not... I'll find out tomorrow.

Hopefully you get slips for both of them.

I want them to do the Child's Play sequels just so people stop requesting them. I'm almost 100% certain they'll do them eventually.

This has been my plan all along. I know it drives folks nuts here, but I feel the need to bring up CP2/CP3, Sorority House Massacre 2, and ANOES Deluxe set every so often just to ensure that the folks checking the thread from Scream Factory know that interest remains very high for those titles.

It's also why I bring up Rock N Roll Nightmare and Black Roses from time to time in the Synapse thread.

I don't post here often, but I read this thread a lot and it seems to be the same three or four people asking about Child's Play and NOES every month. I'm not sure that counts as high interest.

Good Point, and point taken. I can't speak for everyone but I know I try to not be obnoxious about my requests and usually try to mention them only when the thread shifts back towards wishlists/predictions.

There will be a better chance of the original Child’s Play getting a 4K UHD release around June than a SF release of CP 2 and 3.

It is odd, considering everything SF has released in recent years, that they haven’t been able to get the Child’s Play sequels. It will happen eventually.

As I understand it (and someone feel free to correct me if I've got this wrong), they were actually offered CP2 and 3 but turned Universal's offer down and now regret doing so because Universal is simply sitting on them at this point in time.

The Child's Play films have been re-issued countless times. There have been, what, at least 2 complete box sets already? I guess people want them with slipcovers

In my case I want them with special features. Both CP2 and CP3 has been pretty much bare bones since back in the DVD days. Yes I own them on Blu-Ray already, but I would definitely re-purchase them if they were able to add a couple commentaries/documentaries.

There is both a remake coming out this summer and a TV series potentially coming out next year. So I'm not sure if Universal will want to license them at this point, or have yet another re-release of their own to try and cash-in...

I swooped in on the Shout website this morning, pre-ordered the May titles that I wanted, and used the sale to fill in some gaps.

The House Where Evil Dwells / Ghost Warrior
The Horror Show
Invaders From Mars
Lady In White
Manhunter
Millennium / R.O.T.O.R.
Sonny Boy
Night Of The Creeps
Earthquake
The Seduction
The Chosen
Quatermass 2
Quatermass And The Pit
This Gun For Hire

Between those and Elton John concert tickets this morning, my wallet got a workout.

Thankfully, this month’s Shout prices are lower than usual.

And Sony has been releasing Morgan Creek titles through their own Sony label. Freejack, Stay Tuned, Young Guns 2... Wouldn't be surprised to see Pacific Heights and White Sands show up.

No need for Shout to release Blue Steel when there has already been a region free release. And its cheaper than what Shout would charge.

That Sorority House Massacre 2/Hard to Die double feature is looking like a wishful thinking/joke post from Wynorski now. Surely they would've announced it by now. I think it's safe to assume that they own those properties. Wonder what the holdup is. Wynorski straight up posted/confirmed that SF was releasing it in a double feature set. Maybe he was just doing that to generate interest in it. Either way, I'd buy it, day one.
