That artwork is awful! I have the Millenium edition, so I'll have to wait and see if the video is better on the Scream version before I decide to buy.

I actually don't think the art is too bad. One Floating head is certainly better than a multitude of them and the illustrated style lends itself well to the way that many Hammer films looked. I'm sure something better could have been used, but as far as Scream Factory artwork goes, I'd consider this to be on the top half of the art they've created... it just doesn't work too well as far as poster art goes.

I didn't get into Hammer until long after the Millennium edition went out of print, so I'll be picking this one up.

Yes, it was announced on 3/1 via Twitter:

**Update on THE BORIS KARLOFF / BELA LUGOSI COLLECTION** Sorry guys but we've had to move our Blu-ray release a couple of months due to some unforeseen discussions behind-the-scenes. The new planned street date is now 6/18/19.

My issue with that artwork is that it looks like someone photoshopped pictures together and then added a filter to make it look painted. I'm sure that's probably not how it was created, but I've messed with enough apps that that was my first thought upon seeing it. Quality/content matters over cover though!

I don’t own this release, so the SF CE will be a nice addition to the collection.

Overall, I'd say this was one of my favorite revisits recently and glad I bought it because the rewatchability (that's a word now) is definitely there with this one. The PQ was very good for the age of the movie, although I did notice a change in the Unrated scene for all of 2 seconds. It was a quick, but noticeable change in PQ. Also thought the sound quality was great on this one. Much better than some of Shout's other releases recently. Had my volume at a reasonable level and didn't find myself having to adjust it. Overall, solid, solid release. Go buy it now.

On another note, not on the same level but it's making me want a release of the 3rd one again.
Great restoration eh? you'd be hard to be convinced it was done in 1992 eh?

Exactly, it looks like a bad photoshop picture, but I tend to think most of Scream's original artwork is pretty bad. That being said, if the video is better than the Millenium version, it will be mine.

That's how digital paintings look. More skill than just adding a filter, but yes they just painted over photoshopped pictures digitally.

I really need to give these Hammer titles another try. I saw a couple of them years ago and just couldn't get into it. Don't think I'll jump on them until I watch them somewhere else first. I know there are quite a few fans here, so exciting for them! I will say, this one does look like something I'd enjoy though, that's the reason why I'm wanting to check out some Hammer again.

Which ones have you seen? I wasn't that into a few of the first ones I saw, but I gave them another try last fall when all of those Dracula movies got released and ended up liking most of what I watched. I think the Dracula and Frankenstein movies are probably the safest starting points.

The previous blu of FCW had room for improvement, so hopefully this is an improvement.

Frankenstein Created Woman is my least-favorite Hammer Frankenstein (and one of my least-favorite Hammer titles in general) but it's still Hammer and Peter Cushing, even if he does feel like more of a supporting player here, so I'll be picking it up. Artwork is terrific, too.
