Is anybody interested in these 50s monster movies? Honestly? I know I'm not. I'm starting to question if they actually have a Sorority House Massacre 2/Hard to Die set, Fade to Black, and anything left in the tank with Warner and Sony, who seem to be releasing catalog titles on their own now.

I wish the 50's Universal International stuff would have been on double features. I could see This Island Earth as a stand-alone if they gave it the CE treatment, but the other stuff is easily twofer material.

I hope they're not done with Warner yet. It feels like they've barely scratched the surface with them but they could also be saving more of the big guns for Comic Con (big guns, for me, being He Knows You're Alone, Deadly Friend or the Elm Street series). But, yeah, I'm with you on these old monster flicks. I'm sure they have their fans but these are not something I would touch (especially at $30 a pop).

I think a box set or two of the Universal sci-fi flicks might have been the best way to go, or at the very least double features as mentioned. But then, it seems as though Universal won't allow them to do double features, so their hands may be tied on that front.

If they have more 30s/40s Universal horror stuff coming (as has been speculated), I wonder if they plan to do more box sets? In theory they could do another Karloff and Lugosi set, but it would not consist of films wherein they co-starred.

I just hope the latest Universal deal throws us something like Dark Intruder, or more TV films (particularly 70s ones). I'm also surprised we haven't seen a few more 00s films from the deal.

I enjoy the monster flicks, and while they typically do do these on double releases I like having movies on their own. Doesn’t mean I like the prices though. The only time I don’t mind double releases as much is if the movies are somewhat related.

But you know me, I just enjoy the giant monster movies and the like. I wonder how many more they could potentially have.

Yes, this are very eagerly awaited releases! These titles are long overdue for propper home video releases and so far Scream has done a fine job with them (including the classic cover art). I couldn‘t be happier! Honestly.

What does Universal have that would be of interest to Scream Factory at this point? Conan, maybe? White Noise? I can see Shout Select targeting a few--Bird on a Wire, the Hard Way, Renegades, etc.

I love these 50's sci-fi movies, and am quite excited about all of these announcements of blu-ray releases of them. Still hoping for more announcements.

I love these Corman DVDs. I have been snapping them up but missed out on a few. Hoping they stay in stock and others comeback.

I know that I am in the minority, but, between the Universal sci-fi/monster releases and the Val Lewton films, Scream Factory has entered their golden age. I’m loving all of this.

Still waiting on Cry Wolf from Universal. Prime for a good release. Universal likely won't touch it even in their MOD line.

Surprised they decided to only announce 50's and didn't throw in a 70's or 80's title. Oh, well. Maybe they're not done announcing yet.

It's only Tuesday, I expect announcements tomorrow and likely Thursday. I'm fairly confident we'll get another collectors edition announcement so whenever that happens that will likely be it for these older releases for June.

Since Shout is putting out RKO (now owned by Warner) "The Body Snatcher" with Karloff and Lugosi, it would really be nice if Shout would release the 1940 RKO film "You'll Find Out" with Karloff and Lugosi and Peter Lorre. It is a really fun movie if one does not go in expecting a straight horror film.
Such a release would mean,
after the June release of The Boris Karloff/Bela Lugosi Collection,
that all 7 of the starring vehicles for Boris & Bela would be on Blu-ray.

I don't think anyone is crying for their (brief) cameo appearance in 1934's "The Gift of Gab."
