100% agree.

That's the speculation though no one has come right out and stated that.

Haven't they released Corman titles since then, though?

No, I don't think so. They're focused on Hammer and 50's monster movies.

Isn't The Brain a Corman property? Then there's the steelbook double dips, though admittedly they were not 'new' titles.

I don't believe so. It was released through International Video Entertain ment/Carolco Pictures which eventually became Artisan before Lionsgate purchased them. I believe this was a title that was back with the producer or his estate when Shout Factory acquired it though I could be wrong. The Unborn was however a Corman property though that title came out last August prior to the lawsuit news.

It's anyone's guess what is going on at Shout Factory right now in regards to the Corman properties.

They've released Corman titles since: Munchies, Saturday the 14th, Naked Vengeance, etc.

Man how could I have forgot about Munchies. that was one of my most wanted titles next to Sorority House Massacre 2.

It seems that they purchased the Brightstar Films catalog, as well, and that's how they acquired The Brain.

My guess is that shout somehow snuck in and grabbed them as they recently used The Brain, which was also in their library, on a recent Mystery Science Theatre episode. If this is the case (which I’m just guessing on), maybe Scorpion can get some of them. It would be a shame if they were left to languish in MST3K hell.
Hopefully, they can locate some film elements for American Nightmare.

In terms of potential Scream Factory releases, they probably have the following titles as well:

Freakshow (1989)
Mark of Cain (1986)
Thrillkill (1984)

Is there a reason that the Corman films on the Lethal Ladies and Nurses DVD compilations haven't made it to Blu Ray? Would love to get Firecracker and the Arena.

Not in my opinion. If you're region free, I would recommend the BFI Herzog Collection instead. PQ on the Shout collection is problematic.

Also the BFI set is less than half the price of Shout's Herzog set. It's $46.75 on Amazon UK right now!

Everything IFC Midnight released by Scream Factory is on post #1. If you want a list of everything released in general regardless of whether it's had a Blu Ray release of not, you can look here.

I completely agree, Owl. I only saw it a couple of weeks ago and thought it was terrific. Though it had very good notices, it's still largely unknown... A lot of great horror flicks emerge from that side of the world.

Thirded. I went into this without any clue what it was and I thought it was just a really well executed film. A lot of fun

IFC Midnight has released several horror/thriller gems through Scream Factory.

The ones in my own collection so far are...

The Survivalist
Rust Creek
Killing Ground
The Hallow
Pyewacket
Desolation
Ghost Stories
The Pack
Backcountry

A Lonely Place to Die is another quality IFC Midnight film, but it is available through another Blu-ray studio.

My collection does not even scratch the surface of what the studio has to offer on Blu-ray, so I've got some checking out to do in my future.

Proceed with caution on Killing Ground, because that one is especially brutal and horrific, but it's a solid tight thriller as well.
