That Howling artwork is fantastic! Scream kills it every time with the new artwork if you ask me

I can see the latter being the stuff of Shout cult goodness (no, really: Sho Kosugi's "Revenge" actually sparked the pop-80's Ninja craze, a year or two before Michelangelo and Leonardo), but not sure what happened to Enter. Didn't it already show up on some B-label?

Just watched The Fog last night, coincidentally, and I agree--
It didn't actually do as well as expected in theaters because the B-distributor was promoting it as "Carpenter's next slasher film after Halloween", when in fact the movie was trying to conjure up an old-fashioned salty seacoast ghost story.

Please, no big throbbing closeups of Barbeau and sea-zombies, just give us a little big of fog/lighthouse spookiness atmosphere, since we only abstractly see the ghosts for most of the actual movie anyway.
(If you must spoil us the ghosts on the cover, just to celebrate Everything That Cult Fans Know About the Movie, just stay with Carpenter's favorite default trope of showing backlit silhouettes--It just wouldn't be a Carpenter movie without them, and if you're trying to keep with the Halloween covers, you're no better than the original distributors.)

Really excited about "Ninja III" but personally I see it more as a Shout release then a Scream title. It's Cannon Films greatness and while it possesses elements of horror, it's just exploitation fun. Based on the voting, it seems like it will more than likely end up as a Scream title. Regardless, this bad boy will be mine on day one! Great job to Cliff and the Shout team!

I hope it does'nt end up a Scream title if its not really horror.once the gates are opened other non-horror titles may come under the SF banner which in the long run would only harm the label(fangoria's sales plumeted when it started to cover non-horror for example) imo.ill probably get Ninja 3 coz it sounds good but i want scream to be a pure horror label.

I love The Howling poster, its great! That being said, if I hear someone complaining with the whole "the original poster is betterrr!!!", I'll seriously go crazy...I mean if you don't like, you can just switch it to the original poster.
Is the Ninja thing any good? I've never heard of them or seen them...Is it a horror comedy?

I've never seen "Ninja III" simply because I was always holding out for a legit edition. From what I understand, the films don't follow any storyline that would really connect them together. "Ninja III" has supernatural elements to it so that's where it has a bit of horror influence going for itself. I can't wait to see this thing!

Agreed. Couldn't have said it better myself. A buddy of mine imported the German BD and when we watched it looked absolutely retched...blechh!

Yeah, I feel they could easily over do the artwork for The Fog. I think your idea is a good one and maybe have some of ghost pirates in the background. Hopefully it has a similar look to the Prison cover, as they did really good with that and I feel The Fog needs to have a similar look to that.

Ninja 3 should be a Shout release not Scream in my opinion.

Again though, why not grab Enter the Ninja and Revenge of the Ninja at the same time and release all three as a trilogy!? MGM owns them so it would be a possibility no?

Shout/ Scream are becoming the kings of the sequels.

Phantasm 2
Halloween 2 and 3
Cold Prey 2
Ninja 3
Day of the Dead
Scanners 2 and 3
Horror Show aka. House 3

Obviously most of these are out of their control but what about Cold Prey 1 and 3, Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead (Did we ever learn who owns this?), ect.

Doesn't really matter either way, but is the Cold Prey 2 DVD under the Scream Factory banner? Or is it just Shout Factory?

It will just be released under the Shout Factory banner. Anchor Bay released the original film a few years back on DVD. Hopefully, Part 3 sees a release here at some point too.

Me personally, I always use the original poster covers for my Scream blurays. That being said, THE HOWLING newly commissioned art work is great.

The three films have no storyline continuity. Sho Kosugi is the only link and he portrays a different character (all ninjas) in each film.

Pumped for Ninja 3: The Domination. This movie represents so much I love and remember about the 80's. It has the great Sho Kosugi and Breakin' and Breakin 2: Electric Boogaloo's Lucinda Dickey as a possessed ninja. What more could you want?

Hope Shout can get Revenge of the Ninja and Pray for Death as well. Those were in my opinion Kosugi's best movies by far during the 80's ninja craze. I'm not sure, but I thought MGM had the rights to Pray for Death. That movie has an uncut version that I think was only released on a now out of print Greek VHS. There was some pretty good gore and a rape scene missing from all other versions. I would love to see Shout get a hold of this.

I wonder why they are releasing this [Cold Prey 2] under their Shout banner considering it is a pure horror/ slasher film yet they are considering releasing Ninja 3 under their Scream banner and already released Island under it as well. I'm curious how they decide this? Cold Prey could use the extra attention by having it under their Scream banner which would hopefully motivate them to release the rest of the series, at least part 3, and maybe even on bluray.
