Is SF expected to announce any new titles between now and Comic Con?

Other than some poster damage last Fall during the disc production/shipping delays and thus the rush job on packing....never had any issues getting items directly from them (and even then, my slipcovers were still great).

Sadly, I cannot say the same for my HELL NIGHT slipcover from the recent Barnes and Noble sale.... corners are all badly dinged, and then a nice tear/hole punched in the middle. :/

Some of the issues I've been having. Damaged posters/Lithographs, damaged slipcovers & shortages on some orders. It's been the worst
the last few months.

Over the last couple years I have had more issues with Shout Factory that
any other label/company I order from. Vinegar Syndrome, Severin, Mondo Macabro, diabolik & Ronin Flix has all been top notch. The only other place I have had lots of problems with is Best Buy mail order. The way they ship steelbooks, they come damaged a lot.
Yes. Shout Factory's customer service is extremely poor. I ordered from a sale in May and I'm still waiting for part of the order to be fulfilled. I've contacted them twice and their replies are terse and vague. It's frustrating and I'm not the type of person who usually freaks out over stuff like this. A friend of mine ordered from them recently and had the same experience. It's strange, I would expect more from a larger company like them. I've actually had better experiences ordering directly from Bananaman. I'm probably in the minority there, but that's been my experience.

How does Shout Factory handle damaged TV show box sets? Like 1 or 2 damaged discs out of a large set?

I currently have Space:1999 on pre-order from their site, and also on Amazon. The price on Shout is $30 more (it includes a snow globe but it's not worth $30 to me).

I know if keep the Amazon pre-order in, and 1 or more discs are damaged/scratched (it happens), Amazon will ship out a full replacement box immediately, and once the new set arrives, I can ship out the damaged set back to them. This way, if the 2nd set arrives with a bad disc too, I can mix-and-match to make a good set. That's happened to me before - in fact Shout has had issues in the past with scratched discs (Trick R Treat).

What happens with Shout if I contact them over a scratched disc from a large box set? Will they send out just the replacement discs I need or will they want me to ship the whole set back to them first before they send out another full set when everything else is okay other than one of the discs? Network did that to me once and it was extremely frustrating - one bad disc and I had to ship the whole set back first to get a replacement.

Something tells me to just go with Amazon since it's much cheaper and replacements if necessary are so much easier.

Yes, I don't even know why you are asking the question. As you've laid it out, there is only upside with Amazon and downside with Shout.

During December 2018, right around the holidays, I received a box with Trick R Treat, The REC Collection and some other discs. The TRT disc and 2 of the REC discs were slightly scratched. There TRT disc was the normal issue they announced after shipments went up about the inner ring.

I didn't hear from them for about 2 weeks, presumably because of Christmas and New Year's, but when I finally heard back in January, they were apologetic and refunded me the ENTIRE amount of the sale...well over $100. Never asked for the merch back and I guess were just going to let me reorder the items in question, which was awesome.

So my only experience with their customer service has been positive. I would reach out to them first and maybe post on their fb page to get their attention.

Good luck!!

I'd say this also puts an end to any speculation regarding Beetlejuice (The Exorcist was never a serious consideration). (EDIT: Incorrect info - see below)

If Warner are sizing up the horror market for UHD, how long until Nightmare on Elm Street, Poltergeist, Lost Boys, etc? They might even take advantage of the work done on Creepshow, who knows?
As you already mentioned, the listings were for Blu-Ray only, not 4K.

That said, I'd guess that A Nightmare On Elm Street would be a likely guess for a 4K release, just due to the franchise being one of the biggest horror franchises (if not THE biggest horror franchise) they have. As much as I, like TripleHBK, would like to see a big set just like the deluxe Halloween box set (even if that means I'd have to go out and get it autographed again), I don't see it happening, especially if they, unlike Universal, would rather keep the whole license than just license out the Blu-Ray rights...

The thing is I don't see Warners releasing any of the sequels in 4K. I wouldn't be surprised if they released their original (and maybe Wes Craven's Nightmare) and license the sequel's out.

Unlike Halloween and Friday the 13th, I feel like their is opportunity for a lot of new special features on the NOES franchise. Heck none of the sequels even have a commentary...

I'm of the mindset that I don't understand why Warner wouldn't pursue both options, personally. They already have their cheap box set and a handful of individual releases that are all years old. Why not release a 4k set on their own, carrying over the old supplements, but ALSO license out the films for standard Blu Ray to Scream Factory, thereby making even more money. I have no doubt that they'd rope me in for both... the idea of a Halloween inspired Nightmare set is FAR too enticing for me to pass up, and 4k presentations of the films will be something I inevitably am interested in as well.

Over in the Synapse thread it was pointed out that Kim Newman's site mentions he contributed to their The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue Blu-ray which hasn't happened yet.

Now what does this have to do with Scream Factory? It also mentions

Let’s Scare Jessica to Death: Kim is interviewed on the Shout! Factory BluRay.

Isn’t Let’s Scare Jessica to Death a Paramount title?
If so that’s pretty exciting

An apparent Paramount deal has made October (and indeed SDCC, and the future in general) infinitely more exciting. That said, it may be for a handful of titles, it may be for one title, who knows? At the very least, it seems like a foot in the door.

If Shout makes a Paramount deal, then I’m gonna be real excited for some Shout Select! Maybe more John Hughes films that haven’t seen a release in the US!

Oh man. I hesitate to say this out loud, but with the Sci-Fi titles they've been tackling, it'd sure be something if they got their hands on War of the Worlds.

The reason for that is likely Scream's pricing scheme. They had a pre-order for Lust for a Vampire for $19.99 that was later cancelled. I used the Barnes and Noble 40% off sale to stock up on Scream titles through January which were under 20.
