I forgot about FYE. I've found some there, too, like you said typically overpriced. I got The Return of the Living Dead from them last year. It was almost $30 but was still sealed and with a slipcover. I didn't know what the chances were of getting it online with the slip, so I just went ahead and bought it despite being pricier than I'd like. Also got The Critters Collection there earlier this sale, on sale for about $44.

Rasputin Music is a local chain here in Northern California, but they've been surprisingly good at stocking new releases from boutique labels like Scream, Severin, Arrow, etc., stuff I'd never find at places like Target or Best Buy. I got Arrow's Horror Express there soon after its release.

Sorry if this was already mentioned on previous pages, but I happened to notice April Fool's Day was just announced for Blu-ray in Australia. I wonder if this might be a hint that Scream Factory is about to announce it at their SDCC panel.

I feel like I'm going to go broke keeping up with Arrow the past few years. I love what Mondo and VS are doing.

Vestron is over-hyped and WAC only dabbles in my favorite genres.

1. Arrow
2. Mondo Macabro
3. Vinegar Syndrome
4. Synapse
5. Scorpion
6. Kino / Shout Factory / 88 Films / Severin

Wish the following would ramp up in stuff I like:

Camera Obscura
Le chat qui fume
Grindhouse Releasing
Indicator / Powerhouse
I feel the same way about SF. I Day One'd the first 3/4 of their catalog, but the only title I've ordered directly from them this year is the forthcoming Omen set. And I used to love Indicator, but they have since cooled off for me in a big way. Kino doesn't get enough credit; they have released/are releasing a ton of my favorite catalog titles. Severin and Synapse are both great labels to me, but they don't release nearly enough stuff.

I wondered the same thing. I think it's very possible they've cracked the golden goose of Paramount this year. We will know for sure in a day and half...

Shout has announced their “UnCONventional Sale”, where you get 20% off orders of $80 or more.

https://www.shoutfactory.com/blog/un...4c0e0-89079801

It says excludes preorders, but remember last year they “forgot” to exclude preorders and it included everything announced at Comic Con.

My wishlist:
Deadly Friend (more likely from WAC though, right?)
Alone in the Dark
Home Sweet Home 1981
Grotesque
Childs Play 2 & 3 CEs.
MBV - I have the Lionsgate without disc rot but it would be nice not worrying about future disc rot.
April Fools Day
and The Hitcher... the Nameless BD isn't good enough for me.

Unlike last year they are now charging immediately upon placing an order, so no more placing one big order and having it pull out bit by bit over time if they happen to "forget" to turn off the pre-order bit again.

Just fyi. I almost placed an order for From Beyond with the SF summer sale and it would've ended up being at least $7 more expensive still compared to it's price on amazon with free shipping being a prime member. I would check the prices on amazon first before you buy from SF's sales if you are a prime member.

SF's shipping prices are ridiculous if you ask me. Not sure how they are compared to other sites though since I've been a prime member for so long.

The Summer of Fear page states that *The Sale has now ended*. I went ahead and tried adding a handful of titles anyways (including 2 of one title) and it automatically gave me the 20% off discount but nothing more. Prices on the SOF titles were the standard $24.93. No go on combining sales.

The specific titles I was looking at were better deals via Shout, as long as I bought $50 worth of product to hit the free shipping threshold. They seem to always strategically price their titles so that my finally tally is $48, and I have to add another title to get the free shipping!

For some reason I thought it ran through the end of the day. I unfortunately had 3 titles I wanted during the summer sale, they're now more expensive even with the 20% discount. Ooooooops.

The sale page itself clearly says that the sale runs through July 19th, so you were correct in thinking that the sale ran through today as it was supposed to. It didn't specify what time the sale would end though and so they just decided to end it early so that they could start the next sale before the weekend was underway apparently.

Mad Max at Walmart. Amityville set at Walmart and some other things like Misery. More so of MST3K stuff.
You can get the Craft here for $16.95 and other Shout/Scream titles for cheap.

Well, Scream for Help and the Seduction are quite pricey on Amazon still. I think I can make this sale work for me as those are two titles I'd really like.

I'll get Bordello of Blood and need one more... hmm... any hidden gems? I could use a good slasher.

Looking at your collection, since I see you have Silence of the Lambs, have you seen Manhunter? I'm a big fan. Great Michael Mann directing and visuals, first time Lecter was portrayed in a movie. Red Dragon was more or less a remake of this, I vastly prefer Manhunter. One of my favorite "finds" of the last year or so. Lots of cool special features on the Shout collection as well.
