I watched it and thought it was a tremendous upgrade. My post from the Steelbook thread:

I had the previous release from Scream Factory and traded it in to get this one..its one of my favorite B-movies (still kicking myself for forgetting to keep the booklet)..and I must say this appears to be quite a dramatic upgrade. Thank you Shout Factory for an incredible job!

Had to order a replacement copy which should arrive tomorrow. I considered keeping the damaged steelbook and just swapping discs with the first Blu-ray release but ultimately decided to "make a case" with Amazon to see if they change their poor shipping habits. Still, Amazon is great when it comes to returns/exchanges/refunds. Now they don't even require me to package the return or even label it - I just have to drop it off at an Amazon site and show them a QR code on my phone. But, yeah, looking forward to checking out the new scan.

Do you not have the lockers in your area?
They've made returns so painless for me

I had to order a replacement as well because the disc arrived loose in the case with scratches.

Hamiltonbook added quite a few Scream titles including Universal Horror Collection Vol.1 for $41.95 and the Piranha steelbook for $14.95. All of them are on the final page of the blu-ray section.

Night of the Creeps (with slip) as well.

I ordered a bunch yesterday. HB has probably increased my SF collection by at least 2x in the last 6 months.

Same here!

I snagged a bunch for under 10 bucks (some under 5) a few months back.

I'd wait for screenshots since it's an SF release.

So we know that with the The Fly Collection, The Fly '86 won't be getting a new transfer.

However, what kind of transfer can we expect for The Fly II? Since it's never been on Blu.

Probably the same transfer that is on the Australian blu ray.
Which isn’t bad by any means and a definite step up from the dvd.

The others will be the same HD masters that are out now. So same masters as used on the import The Fly Collection. I'll be skipping Screams.

Good question. Here's another one: How old is the master that was used for the DVD release? Because if that's all Shout will have access to then that upcoming set will be 100% pointless.

Judge for yourself: US DVD vs Australian BD

Serviceable, but in 2019 it should and could look quite a bit better.

I hope SF will release more steel books in 4K scan in the future. Hoping for Psycho 2-4 re-release.

Since they picked up the Corman library, isn't it about time they release the classic Black Scorpion (1995) & Black Scorpion II (1997) double feature? We need more Joan Severance on blu-ray.
