My Pre-order notes that I got the LE set from Amazon for $56.
Unrelated, but it appears that Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde is also set for December 10, 2019. Shout Factory is really packing in the Comic-con announcements this December. I'm actually quite excited for 2020 now since they've burned through so much of what we already know about, that leaves a lot of room for new announcements in the new year. |

Superstition just might be my favorite Friday the 13th movie....Just finished my first viewing, I loved biblical edge they added. With VS news for next month though, it sounds like this might become my second favorite entry to the F13 universe soon...

![]() So in the end we got two additional titles. The last remaining StudioCanal Hammer title is Demons of the Mind, which I fully expect to see among the January slate. |

With possibly one or two more titles still to be announced, this December has to be one, if not, the most stacked for Scream since their inception. One hell of a way to end the year off especially since December has always been relatively light for them

My October-December Shout Factory pickings are slim. January and forward are potentially more expensive for me, especially if they keep pumping out the contemporary Paramount titles. 2020 will start off with a bang with Let's Scare Jessica To Death - currently my highest-anticipated announced SF title. I may double dip on MBV depending on Shout's ability to completely restore the uncut edition without jump cuts. Of course, my most-wanted (unannounced) Paramount title is April Fool's Day

I like the Silver Bullet cover. Sure it has some floating heads, but it has more creativity and less busyness than some of the other Scream covers. It actually makes me go "oh sh*t this movie looks crazy." Not the biggest fan of the film, but I may pick it up.

It is a good movie, but I could have done without seeing William Peterson's erection. No offense to Peterson. Seriously, how did they get that into an R movie? Boogie Nights couldn't even get one, correct? That shot probably got a pass because it was filmed from a distance.

Also, regarding that “in the universe of F13” title VS has coming, it’s a blast. I can’t wait to pick it up. |

I was unaware that there are unofficial films set in the Friday the 13th universe. Any others besides the two mentioned here? I tried looking on-line to find info but struck out (googling "Friday the 13th Superstition Unmasked" did not get the results I wanted!). Even a link to articles detailing the connections in these movies would be appreciated. I love that kind of thing.

I never thought of Unmasked Part 25 as being in the F13 universe, I just thought it was its own thing as a satire of the franchise? Where his character inspired the in-film Unmasked franchise movies and he just wants to live his life...or something like that.

EDIT: I guess I paid closer to $80 by pre-ordering at DiabolikDVD. Still far too much. There was a lot hype for NIGHTBREED. Which is completely undeserved. Just like THE KEEP, the fact that its was hard to track down gave it a holy grail mystique despite the films being a bit of mess. Last edited by crikan; 09-10-2019 at 07:01 PM. |
