At the same time, I was scrambling to wash the massive blood gush from my sink and to use tissue paper to wipe blood off of everything that my hands had touched. I poured water on the eye, removed a strand of bloody film from the eyelid, and the bleeding finally stopped after a minute or two.

I proceeded with the 20-minute cold compress, and am now fine, with normal, albeit slightly blurry, vision in my left eye. I did call the clinical staff at the eye clinic, and was told that, while the bleeding is not normal, I would be fine to stick with the plan and apply cold compresses every hour on the condition that I call the emergency line at the clinic if the bleeding resumes.

Hopefully, this will be the worst thing that happens to me all weekend.


On the bright side, I did pre-order the Scream Factory December titles before all hell broke loose with the eye.

Hopefully, this is the last of the medical stuff for a while. Collecting Blu-rays and maxing the out-of-pocket for insurance is not a great combination.

On the bright side, I've lost 55 pounds since early May, and am in good shape. I don't recommend colon resection surgery as a general weight loss strategy, though.

you're scaring me Owl... if I remember correctly I've got a good ten years over you and so far I haven't experienced anything like this. Am I jinxing myself making a post like this on Friday the 13th?

Both Disney and Paramount hold a treasure trove of titles that we’ll probably never see on home media. Although there have been rumblings of things really changing at Paramount, we will see just how extensive that change will be.

I'm going to pick up several titles in my wishlist during this 15% off sale, would you guys recommend the below two as blind buys? They both sound like they'd be up my alley, but wanting to check.
